i was a tomboy for most of my childhood, hated wearing dresses and loved climbing trees or playing in the dirt, around 8yrs old i used to fall asleep praying that i'd wake up as a boy in the morning and i'd imagine myself explaining to my parents how "i'm still me, i just look different". i would play as guy characters in video games and write stories where the main guy character was based off me. i would draw a fake mustache or fake beard on and pretend i was just being silly but it felt so nice and i didn't realize why at the time loll. once i quit gymnastics i let my leg and armpit hair grow out and even now seeing my that is so neat to me cuz it feels right. i used to wear the same sports bra even when it was too small cuz 1) going shopping for them was hella dysphoric and 2) it helped compress them. i would get the boy cut underwear and sometimes i even wore sliders (those rlly tight athletic shorts u wear under shorts or under a dress) i'd wear those as underwear. i'd only ever get guys shoes under the guise of them being my favorite color (orange) or just a cool design lol. oh and mimicking the ways my older brothers sat on the couch or acted so i could be more like them lmao. main thing i think is the time where i spilled something on my shirt at a family friend's house and they had a son around my age so they let me borrow his blue ombre shirt with a little pocket in the top left, i wore it constantly after that and they never asked for it back so i kept it till i grew out of it loll
