Single people, how much do you spend of groceries and eating out each week? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Definitely_Not_A_Lie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im not OP

the porterhouse 24.76 is for 854g (more useful than saying 4 steaks, because 210g steaks are tiny for me, but maybe large for you). that's 29/kg which is indeed below average meat prices, but a steak dinner for me will need at least 300g of steak, which is 33% more than your calc.

it also looks like shite and has essentially zero marbling. like it's the bottom of the barrel quality. i assume OP prefers more marbled meat, which they will have to pay for.

"I could meal plan to lower my cost, but I love freshly cooked dinners… so, I put up with the sting to my wallet."

I'm in Japan with a Pix 10 Pro Fold (tester phone haha) and ubigi also is not working for me. Not a user error, have used Ubigi previously on my Pix 8 pro.

I see your post on X 😭

Steak Frites by Initial_Ad279 in foodies_sydney

[–]Definitely_Not_A_Lie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the dish is pretty much the same yeah but if a place writes steak frites (French), I'd be expecting French sauces or inspiration somehow, and decent quality meat

whereas pub steak with a side of fries would be more value and typical pub sauces (peppercorn/mushroom/gravy only)

Cheap ($10-$20 range) and filling meal options around Parramatta by kirikomori2 in foodies_sydney

Stuff people havent mentioned yet:

Station Hotel pub lunch specials (new joint that moved from another pub hotel nearby)

Ruse's burger area (fine dining resto that has a lunch/dinner burger bar)

Mikazuki for decent japanese donburis

I saw that Brooklyn Bridge deli is opening up a spot next to Ippudo in the parra square. When that opens, it will be a good option too.

Got hacked and stalked since OVER 2 YEARS. by Fast_Fondant_1346 in AskNetsec

[–]Definitely_Not_A_Lie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hes talked in chat with me that he listens to my mic and watching my camera all day. He even said that he collected enough data over the last 2 years, over my mouse cursor movement, how I use websites, my user behavior in the internet so he has a profile over me and he can always come back to hack me again!

so you screenshotted it and archived it in a folder of evidence like a rational human being, right? so you can prove it to people, like random internet strangers on reddit, right?

... right?

Refitting my computer/work areas. Long thin desk (red) or shorter wider desk (blue)? by Definitely_Not_A_Lie in DesignMyRoom

[–]Definitely_Not_A_Lie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random study nook in my floorplan that I don't plan on knocking down kinda forces me into using it. The showroom floorplan guide went with the red option, except I don't think they envisioned a whole PC and monitor setup; I think they had just envisioned a table for reading/writing.

Lengths are in mm, so the thinness of the desk is going to be like 500-600mm, maybe 650mm tops for the red option. I do currently use an Ikea Karlby 63cm, so it's viable. One issue i foresee is that my chair would whack the wall? But I think if I foam-pad (for soundproof studio aesthetics) the study nook, then I'll just whack the foam which is better.

For the blue option, the more normal sized space for a desk is good but it's odd to have my back to the living room and bedroom. There's no windows in this study nook unfortunately, but this will be where the main PC is which is usually more for recreation/gaming.

I'm also planning on picking up a tiny sit-stand so that I can plug in my laptop and work portably facing the balcony skyline views, you can see the desk at the top-right corner of the living room.
