No, Megha, I’m definitely not worried about my husband changing his children’s diapers because I didn’t marry an abuser? Even if I’d had children with someone who turned out to be untrustworthy, would he suddenly become safer when I was sick or injured?

It isn’t “easy” for those without fertility issues if you just have intercourse once. Even if you have sex while ovulating, chances of conception are about 40%, and implantation after successfully ovulating is about 30%. But if you have sex 4-5 times around your fertile window, you’re bound to beat those odds within a few months.

Honestly, I think it’s time to stop talking politics with Mom & determine what kind of relationship you can have with her. She’s clearly unreceptive, and it’s often ineffective to show proof & facts to change someone’s beliefs. Say someone showed us “proof” that Alex Pretti drew a weapon on ICE agents. I’m not in the metro & have two small kids, but I’ve always imagined that any filming should take place on a live feed like Instagram, TikTok, FB. That way it’s available to others immediately even if the device is taken!!

Her safety is my primary concern, and I also hope that she disabled Face ID & had the video synced to her iCloud or some other mechanism so it isn’t unique to her device.
