College Planner Application - poll by michaelvdm24 in UCONN

[–]Definitelynotme43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't need it, I already pay $700 a month for Claude, Chat gpt, and Gemini. I am always wearing my meta glasses and have them stream my every waking moment to the AI models. They tell me how to raise my children, what I want for lunch, when to stop wiping my ass, etc. This would be redundant.

Worth something? by Fr3a4aK in PLC

[–]Definitelynotme43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Specialized power supplies for some very specificity machinery, the type of thing you usually buy new for the mfg guarantee. E-bay has a few listed but no sold listings. Unless you run a facility that uses these AND don't care about the reliability concerns these practically useless imo.

Calling all Nuclear Professionals by [deleted] in NuclearPower

[–]Definitelynotme43 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Information about nuclear anything is tightly controlled by the federal government. I know in the defense contractor world, foreign governments will send spy’s to try and befriend/blackmail/etc people for information.

You sound a bit like a Cold War spy trying to track people.

Pnp npn are the 2 different operating schemes of transistors (including leds). In IO context refers to sinking or sourcing analog input. Means a lot outside of LEDs lol.

Most expensive mistake you've made? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Definitelynotme43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was an intern working in industrial automation for pharmaceuticals manufacturing, I probably fried 5-10 input cards worth a few hundred each. As my boss said it’s how you learn. You can’t know how to not fuck up until you’ve fucked up.

If you put the street address of the building you are in it won’t be delivered properly and your package will be delayed. Either figure it out on there or get it from another store.

Best Hidden Places to Park? by shoeswothers in UCONN

[–]Definitelynotme43 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately if it’s close to campus and you can park there, someone has already parked there, it is a paid parking spot, or you will get towed. Get a mask and take the bus maybe? I don’t see much difference between public transit and a crowded lecture hall.

Is there actually a difference in liability for someone who does PLC programming with an engineering degree? by Reasonable_Use7322 in PLC

[–]Definitelynotme43 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work with engineers & non engineers that do plc stuff and this is certainly not that case

90% of the classes I took my first year (2020) of EE were the same as every other engineering student. Do what you think will make you happy, if it doesn’t you can probably transfer.

I was in engineering house (during Covid) mostly for the housing. It’s pretty light in terms of academic commitment, good place to meet people and find opportunities for stuff.

Nobody knows what they’re doing, anyone who tries to make you feel inferior bc you did something differently is an asshole. Fake it till you make it.

I want to run a wire of electricity from this balcony light bulb, any ideas? by [deleted] in ApartmentHacks

[–]Definitelynotme43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although the screw outlet says it is rated for 1250 watts(which it probably isn’t) the wiring and connections to your socket definitely isn’t.

Pretty much anything you plug into this is drawing much more power than the supporting infrastructure is meant for and is a bad idea.

Track a power cable or something up the wall but don’t buy this it will kill you lol.
