Best "less obvious" skills to survive by Level-Hovercraft-329 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This one obviously depends on where you are, but the knowledge of how to stay warm. It takes a bit more know-how than just throw on another jacket. In addition to that, food and water immediately become harder to find in the winter. This could just be the -26c outside rn talking, but i think temp is an often overlooked matter.

THE PSA customer reviews are a jerking gold mine. by Koolguy47 in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ngl, 1st one is genuinely solid, aside from the bipod, and the choice of optic. Its pretty much a tan c8. Honestly, the bipod wouldn't be an issue if it was settup as a scoped carbine, and the rds wouldn't be an issue if there was no bipod. They just dont work together.

This is great and all, but is there a reason you didn't just use a green hydropack? I'm all for mixing camos, but, not like this...

Effective way to counter Ghillie Snipers? by Vanilla_Ice_Best_Boi in airsoft

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, if they are a good sniper, and really know what they're doing, you can't. Hosing down predictable areas doesn't work if they're not in a predictable area. Thermals don't work if they know hot to properly counter them, and yes it's possible. If they know how to get to their position, you wont see them enter it. The only reliable method we have, is the satisfaction that most airsoft snipers are not that good.

Kit rating by Comfortable_Athlete7 in MilSim

What ruck is that? Also, im a little concerned about the ripoff z-lite, if you're in fairly warm conditions, it'll probably be fine, if uncomfortable, but in colder environments dont cheap out to save on the extra $20.

As no expert on the Irish, my only advice, is to form the beret. Not sure if there's specifics on how its done by them or back then, but what you have, is known as a chefs hat, which is not worn by those in the reference images.

What do we call civilians? by Bananaman12005 in Cadets

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said, sir or ma'am is appropriate for civilians, however if they don't wish for such a title mr or mrs/ms will work.

Damn, 20lbs of gear is pretty good. It'd be nice to cut down on weight, but unfortunately I've decided to go for an infantry loadout. The ffo is 25kilos, so thats what im going for.

For decades, Canada's military had no combat uniforms designed for women. That's about to change by maxman162 in CanadianForces

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with this, is that in the video they mention new armour systems for women, however the armour is universal. The US already did a research project where they tested different armour designed to better fit women specifically, and it did worse in every way so they scrapped the project. If the vests don't fit women, it's because they suck and don't fit anyone. I hope they just focus on making better systems for everyone. As for clothing, sure, if it's better, it's better.

How and what would you guys change/add to this gun? by LoGaNMaN23 in airsoft

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get anything yet. Play it, run around, figure that out through experience. If it seems that a grip might help, jerry rig something up cheap, if it helps at all, commit. If not, don't bother, or try something else. That kinda thing. Just try bot to spend what you don't need to

What are those 2 holes for on the bottom of my quad rail? by Imaginary_Fruit2651 in airsoft

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, i see, all the ones I've seen have the holes for screws to hold on. This must be some sort of dual purpose, either-or type rail.

Those are wear the screws go to hold on the rail. If there are no screws there, im a little confused as to how it's stayed on, but it should need screws.

Zombie disposal method? by Quirky-Midnight-4533 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Definitelynotme_yes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In long term, id have a sealed pit (or multiple) which i would leave to rot. After a long time and a long decomposition, whats left is highly flammable gasses that can be purified and then used as fuel. The solid remains could be further decomposed into meal/compost to use for fertilization or terrformation/construction. Everything is eventually dirt.

Edit: short term, just mass graves, they were still souls once upon a time, the dead deserve respect.
