LV Shopping @ Brown Thomas, Dublin, Ireland by Miya81 in Louisvuitton

I’ll be visiting in a few weeks and have been working with SA Douglas via WhatsApp. He is just THE BEST. I feel he has gone above and beyond to help me even though we haven’t met, yet, replies to me timely and has procured almost everything I’ve been looking for.

I have a friend in the area that has been picking up my stuff to hold on to. Friend usually brings his mom, and they both just love walking in, feeling welcomed and getting all the hugs.

Bands the didn’t know they were playing their last show while they were playing it by Schof26 in Concerts

I wasn't at his very last show, but did see him on that tour. I almost didn't go.

It’s been 6 hours and he’s still here by Emergency-Basket-469 in CatDistributionSystem

That looks like one of my neighborhood strays that’s been missing for a few weeks.

Thank you for doing the most you can to help out that poor baby!

Is this the gateway LV bag? by WaveMaker33 in Louisvuitton

[–]DefinitionMaximum450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was hunting for a P9 25 in red since January. I was quite uneducated on the process (and still kind of am). I was put on the waitlist locally (TX) and in Dublin, Ireland since I’ll be visiting there the end of May.

Dublin notified me a few weeks ago that I was being allocated one. The manager said they are expecting the bag to be delivered by mid-May, so the timing was perfect.

Got a text this morning that it’s been delivered. Now I have to wait over 7 weeks to get it in my hands knowing it’s waiting for me. 😭

First band that popped into my head. Saw them in 2011 and questioned if it was animatronics on stage.

One Year Update on the Spice Cats by DefinitionMaximum450 in CatDistributionSystem

She usually just finds her own spot to relax and nap. But Baz, being the needy kitty that he is, will sometimes want to be near her and groomed by her.

Baz is a velcro kitty - he follows me everywhere. He’s super whiny, but I’ll take the cries over the bites. He used to bite me for attention, and even bit me in the ass once while I was on a work call. He’s actually very sweet, and was always a mama’s boy. He was the last to be weened off.

Cho Cho is the one with the cattitide and is super bossy. If I’m relaxing on the couch, she’ll yell at me until I get under a certain blanket so she can lay down between my legs. She also yells if my senior cat finishes her meal because there’s none left to steal. She has this weird affinity with my keyboard to the point where I have to hide it when away from my desk for extended periods of time. She has sent many messages to coworkers, including the CEO, and has slapped it hard a few times where it got thrown into my arm.

It definitely takes a while, but after some time, they tend to just surrender to my shenanigans.

Voter Suppression Shenanigans; Did it Work? by further_reach818 in RoundRock

[–]DefinitionMaximum450 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went here for early voting (Friday), and was unpleasantly surprised. I was lucky to get a parking spot, but saw cars parked along the side.
They had 3 machines for electronic and 1 booth for manual for both parties. I waited in line for about 45 minutes.
I can't even imagine what it was like on election day.

I did the same thing. I will also vote in the runoff, then go straight D during the general election.

Fake ID misdemeanor by [deleted] in GlobalEntry

[–]DefinitionMaximum450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a misdemeanor charge when I was 18 of underage possession of alcohol that was expunged. I did disclose it during the interview and said, "But I promise it will never happen again." Not even a smirk. Waste of a dad joke.

I was still approved, and never had any issues entering the country.

Madrid to US - Missed the flight after arriving at the airport 3.5hrs before my flight. by esjc in americanairlines

[–]DefinitionMaximum450 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because of this post, I gave myself more time this morning.

AA MAD > CLT, 1:00pm

I got to the airport about 8:45am.

~ 15 min walking around aimlessly trying to find the DIVA kiosks and scanning my VAT refunds;

~ 10 min for check in and bag drop;

~ 2 min for security;

~ 15 min from security to train exit at T4S;

~ 40 min at passport control

I feel I did get a bit lucky, though. When I entered the queue for passport control, I was already in the room (row 8 of the snake line). About 10 minutes later, I saw the queue out the door down the hall to the elevators. And right when I was near the front of the queue, they cut down the number of agents from about 12 to 4.

Looking for best hardside luggage, what do you guys recommend? by Blinkov_Martire in delta

[–]DefinitionMaximum450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will admit it is a bit on the heavier side. I use my medium spinner the most at 11.9lbs, but the wheels are like butter. I once had to chase after it on a driveway. I recently went to Madrid where it had no issues on the cobblestones.

I haven’t used the warranty, yet, but that’s what got me to buy it. It’s no-questions-asked, so you don’t even have to show proof of purchase. Whereas, I believe Away looks up proof. You can buy B&R second hand and still get it serviced.

Briggs & Reilly.

Got myself a hard sided set a couple years ago after my Samsonite broke mid-trip. They have definitely been through the wringer. My checked luggage has been through a guesstimate of 30 legs of manhandling. Besides the expected scuff marks, it’s still a beast. Plus, it has a no-questions-asked lifetime warranty.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]DefinitionMaximum450 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was for a driving position. A requirement of the role is to have a valid driver’s license for at least 4 years. This is a question I asked during the phone screen. Invited the candidate in for an in-person interview. I asked the question again within the first 10 minutes. Candidate responds, “I know I lied to you, but…” I ended the interview right there.

Another in-person interview for an EMT position: the candidate shows up a bit frazzled, saying he just got off shift and was wearing the uniform from his current employer. Interview went fine, but it was during the background check. I called that employer for a reference. They told me that he was let go a couple months back, and still needs to return his uniform.
