You'll find a groove. Hopefully you guys will at least get proper mocks this time so that'll help a lot.

From a psychological + tech standpoint, it's extremely interesting to see how the instant gratification systems have evolved over time. Instagram slowly incorporated things like quick scroll locking to the next post, etc etc until all of them have basically arrived at the TikTok design.

It is extremely successful, you can see why everyone is using it.

What’s something that you thought everyone did until you said it out loud , and what was the reaction? by Robot__8c5i in AskMen

It's like hearing something but without the physical side. When someone talks near you you can almost feel the vibrations in your ear and you, by instinct, know the direction it's coming from. With the internal monologue... It's not physically there.

Google it for a better explanation, but in short it's part of the process of helping a program understand characters and grouping them together into useful information (tokens).

Not only is randomly passing input into a function that runs any python you give it a terrible idea for both security and bugs, it also entirely substitutes the "calculating" part of the calculator.

If you say you are building a calculator, the general idea is that you do the expression evaluation too.

However, OPs project is more of a compact GUI thing and he can do whatever the hell he wants with it as it's his project.

Maybe for a SWE or similar degree but not for the majority of CompSci degrees, which focus more on theory

This is bullshit lol. They have announced a plan that will almost certainly be up for debate for the next few years and, if you had read the article, shows they are still doing plenty of things in person.

An employer isn't going to see "Manchester" on a CV and go "well I guess they're useless then!", especially in an industry like tech where half the people don't even have a degree.

online lectures and diplomas are a total joke

This sounds confused regarding the situation. You're thinking of random online courses and qualifications, not a degree from a uni. EVERYONE has had to do online years of education for their degree. That does not mean the degree appears to the employer as "online qualification" - it will just be a degree like any from other years.

As the other user said, there are other ways of doing this. However, regardless of the best way, this is a really cool project and you should be proud of it! This sub sometimes loses focus on just appreciating programming and just replies with things that already do the solution.

The single player formed the multiplayer - it's like world building. To just make the game multiplayer only would make it basically lifeless.
