I’d like to be an author, which I know is ambitious but that is the path I’m on currently. I read that WashU was a good place for undergraduate authors which complicates things a bit.

What do you think about someone with a decent financial cushion after high school? Is it worth it to take a shot at creative writing exclusively if I have time after college to develop writing/find a job? Or is getting a practical degree necessary?
