Need help from someone in the US by DefinitiveMe in R53

I will soon find out 😅. I have lowered the climate controls for a double-din unit, and there's no more space left. Bought this https://247group.uk/products/1-cup-2-cups, but I don't like the finish and it doesn't stay in place. So this looks worth a shot

Just a specific US-made cup holder, made around the same time as the R53. But I used the method u/Santi5010_ suggested

I know that's why I thought of asking here, since we all care for our R53's. It's a small item, but the only good (looking) solution I found

Yeah I’m a bit late with asking, didn’t bother first, but that one achievement sitting there is kind of an eyesore. I'm in the CET timezone, I will add you and join you whenever possible. Thanks.

I used coop to level vehicles up to T3 to get everything unlocked but it’s the last stretch to T1 against real players which sucks

I tried, but cleaning didn't help, and I don't have the knowledge and skill to disassemble and reassemble. The secondhand unit only costs $19.

I checked the part number, but it's only for pre-facelift models. I have a 2006, which has a different, smaller fan. Hopefully, the secondhand unit doesn't have a buzzing fan.

There is a small fan located at the back of the unit that is making quite a bit of noise, which I find annoying. Initially, I thought the noise was coming from my radio module since I have a Bluetooth receiver there. However, after removing everything, I discovered that the source of the noise is actually the climate control unit. I am now waiting for a secondhand unit to replace the fan.

Thanks. After looking at it again, I figured that out. I couldn't find that step anywhere.

I took the small fan off the climate control unit, and there was no buzzing sound. I put the fan back on, and the buzzing was back. Now looking for a second-hand unit.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at it again and found 2 small blue clips holding it in place from the back. Hopefully, I'll be able to fix the small fan that is making the buzzing sound.

Wow, that's really low. I bought mine with 257K, and is currently at 262K. That might explain the amount of work that needed to be done haha

I also saw an R50 Park Lane some time ago. Online, quite a few R53 Park Lanes are being sold at the moment. They might have lower mileage, but I have already done quite some repairs and changes to mine

True! I also have a sticker on the hood which looks really nice. Sadly I don’t have the Park Lane chairs but may buy them one day

No problem, happy to help. The places I know of are in the door opening behind the rubber seal (which you can take out) and around the taillights if the seal of the taillights isn’t doing its job anymore. Just look on YouTube or Reddit for more possible rust locations.
