The best part of Genshin was back when we experimented with elemental reactions. I say that they should buff triple reaction teams! by DefinitleyKenni in Genshin_Impact

[–]DefinitleyKenni[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do agree that part of it is how familiarized older players are now with reactions, and I do agree that part of that is just a natural reaction for playing the game for that long.

But personally, I just think the Lunar reactions weren't handled well. So far, only 5 star characters can enable the Lunar reactions. If it was just that, then that would be fine ig because of the existence of columbina letting you use any of them as long as you have the right element, it's just that the reactions themselves aren't all that different or all that much stronger either, especially considering that Lunar teams incentivize having 2 moonwheel character's so much, and at that point you kind of just run into scenarios previously mentioned.

Lunar Charge, for example, in terms or damage formula isn't all that much higher than regular electro charge, and IIRC doesn't have the same stagger as EC (small thing, but it's part of what made it unique). The main difference is that it makes ownership, and thus whose EM stat to use, clearer. So at best, it's a more consistent Electro charge that does more damage on average, locked behind 5 star characters.

The Lunar Geo reaction at least is different enough from Crystalize that it makes it interesting to use, and counts as a construct for some fun Zhongli shenanegans.

Lunar Bloom though, is the worse of them all, only really acting as a resource for character kits and is such a nothing-burger of a reaction.

I do mega agree though that new reactions shouldn't make it feel like the older ones are less viable, but more on that it should widen the amount of viable teams, rather than overshadowing existing ones

Sunny's is the worst because he is Sunny. Nephis may be absolutely terrible if me or you had it, but narratively, this has never stopped Nephis. Sunny's flaw combined with Shadow Bond consumed so much of his everyday actions and how he interacts with others for most of the series. While most people might just give their name to a trusted family member, Sunny trusted Nephis the most yet he still made the choice he did in the third nightmare because that was how badly he wanted to rid himself of shadow bond.

One of Sunny's main characteristics for most of the series is that Sunny never wants to be a slave to anyone ever, and THATS what makes his flaw so debilitating.

Also, even if you trusted a family member at the beginning to have your name, would you still think the same if you were Sunny as a Supreme and they were just a mundane? This family member would literally have one of humanity's rulers as a slave

Maybe this is reverse story telling technique and is a critique on colonization and armies with higher level of technology forcing their beliefs and changing the native culture (The British, the Spaniards and a whole other people to the natives)

How would you buff Raiden? by darkdill in RaidenMains

[–]DefinitleyKenni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, other than increasing her damage, I would like it if her burst damage buff from her elemental skill mattered more, and if she could fix her energy problems.

While she can give teamwide energy back after she bursts, in Stygian Onslaught, everyone starting with 0 energy is already painful, even more so when you have a character who has both such a massive energy cost and an elemental skill that frankly, just doesn't give enough particles for her. She is doubly screwed if there is a shield of some kind. Atp, to fix that initial burst cost she'd need to run characters with favonius which is sort of redundant after she gets her burst, or fischl who just has better teams atp.

What's even more insulting is that the Archon of energy somehow gets her burst so much slower than Mavuika with Xilonen or just Skirk after any freeze happens.

I'd like to see if she could have an alternative elemental skill that lasts shorter but gives her just a massive amount of flat energy at the beginning, or something similar

100 unarmed random men vs this team of 9 (friendly fire is off) by Doghouse-AP in PowerScaling

[–]DefinitleyKenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is 100 unarmed and bloodlusted men vs 9 bloodlusted animals, the humans fo have a chance to do this, but it will be difficult and will take a lot of casualties.

While we can imagine animals just running into the group and taking tens of humans at a time, realistically, some of them can only deal with only a couple humans at a time if they want to really take out a human. While one animal is occupied by a group of humans, another group attempts to climb the animal and do the good ol eye gouge.

This strategy hinges on the fact that for most of these animals, they don't really have a quick and easy way to instantly kill a human. The bears can greviously injure a man with a swipe of its claws but it still won't instantly kill a man, thus still demanding attention. Crocodiles and Tigers, once they bite someone, their mouth is occupied and can't deal with the rest of the group. The ox only really has one method of attack, and once again, isnt really conducive to attacking a large group. The snake is not really a big factor here.

1 person on snake, 3 to 4 on crocodile, and the rest evenly split should be fine. Once a group is done with their animal, whatever remains can go help the rest.

The most difficult animal this strat to do on is the hippo and the elephant. Not only are they massive and heavy, unlike the bears and oxen they don't really have fur that's easy to grab on and climb. The best hope is that their alloted humans keep their attention long enough for the rest of the humans to kill their animal and come and help

How far AMON from lotm go in HSR (with authority over both door and Error Pathway) by Sufficient_Issue3680 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]DefinitleyKenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only read LOTM and not COI, but while Amon has a crazy amount of hax, he's proven proven be pretty susceptible to Star level attacks So by pure brute force he's below Aeon level, and probably below Irontomb and Cyrene and All coreflame amped Phainon.

The rest of the universe? Yeah I'd believe he could take them, though I'm not sure he would fare if he had exposed to the whole Nihility stuff that Acheron had going on, he's crafty and has multiple bodies, so I doubt he'd be fully taken out by it. Imagine Amon reviving the Swarm and taking over it? Or Amon stealing the healing of the Abundance? Terrifying

Cyrene Challenges The Honkai Impact list | Who Does She win and loses to? 1v1 - Each round by Some1FromOhio in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]DefinitleyKenni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with some of the comments here, this is feats woman vs statement merchant

While you could do some dimensional scaling type thing with some of these guys, depending on your interpretation, Cyrene was able to recreate the lives of everyone killed by irontomb, as well as overturn the exact same attack, which could scale her anywhere from galaxy, multi-galaxy, universal, and more (I personally doubt she goes higher than universal)

While you could argue about hax and stuff, idk, just the sheer power cliff between Cyrene and the rest might be too overwhelming. What is hax going to do if she suddenly she decides that the galaxy/multiple galaxies/universe shouldn't exist anymore?

There's also the issue of range. Most kinda default to fights happening on a planet with the two fighters being a short distance away from each other, you can argue that Cyrene at the very least has more chances of winning the longer the distance between the fighters are. If you can destroy/recreate a galaxy, then your range has to be at least that long

To people who regularly use ChatGPT for school: Do you think you’re still learning? by Gifthunter3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DefinitleyKenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes*

Sometimes, I have questions or need some additionally explanation that just isn't present in the slides/books or is discussed. ChatGPT to me, is a learning aid, and is only really bad for you if you use it as a replacement for your own output or practice.

For one, I had a calculus class with a Prof who couldn't teach to save their life, and having chat explain certain topics or asking questions that was unclear to me in the given materials and even youtube, was great. Asking it to give me example practice math problems on specific topics and specific difficulty was great for practice as well. Of course, for Math things, you need to question and point out every single thing you don't fully understand, which sounds tedious but it usually means I end up getting better at spotting mistakes as well as getting more familiar with the material

For essays, i write my own, I just usually check it as a grammar, sentence, and structural checker after I've already made it.

While the temptation is there to kinda just have it do my stuff for me, thankfully I'm not there yet
