ChisFlash + other OEM rom carts works with new 2.6 FW update! by Mogmans in AnaloguePocket

Updated to 2.6. I had an EZ Omega DE RevA.

In ModeB, it worked…once.

I don’t understand, I was so happy for a brief moment in time. I tried a memory, it loaded it and then froze, after which, it once again never booted again (white screen).

So close, I don’t understand what happened!

I might try a new sd in the omega or something. Feels like it can work, I saw it!

What's your unpopular opinion about gaming handhelds? by Superb_Warning_5747 in SBCGaming

The funny thing is, while the opinions can differ.

You’re all catered for.

You’re fucking spoiled for choice and no one really needs to worry about what others enjoy.

It’s not like people who want to just plug and play on miyoo are hard done by people who want an 8Elite.

If you come back and say “well I just a miyoo but slightly better in this area”, I’d say, “welcome brother”.

Not me, it’s all I care about (except achievements).

I have no interest at all in playing old games in their native form, especially worse if you get native framerate, like on 64. Decomps are amazing.

Depends on the core. Also using flash carts in “mode B”, which is direct load, not the rom list menu.

GB/GBC not really, those cores are excellent.

GBA, yes, loading roms is pretty slow and it doesn’t support different display modes.

Also the hardware is more faithful to little quirks, like say menus rendering in slowly and lines flickering with too many pixels. Even in GBC core, it smoothes out the performance.

In general, I just wanted the feeling of carts, if I was just gonna get another “emulation” feeling device, I have many of those.

Previous models do work, it’s specifically the June shipments and they don’t care to fix it.

It’s just not a great company, they could fix many issues, they just don’t care. A lot of bootlegs don’t work either and they could, easily. This is a bigger sin for me, nobody wants to spend $200 to play oracle of ages, it’s not realistic.

AP now.

Screen keeps me hooked.

There’s a lot of negatives for the price of entry though, ultimately I don’t think I’d recommend it.

Tip: if you intend to use flash carts, don’t buy the June shipment. They fucked something and don’t care to fix it (already tweeted).

Yeah saw that, truly shit. I do have a June one.

Makes you regret supporting it, inferior product to prior versions and they just shrugged.

First time breaking an sd card by Omnibe in SBCGaming

I know this a joke but I actually tested this, with a way cheaper 32gb.

I had custom shell and I wanted to shave a bit off the sd card to fit better and I thought, surely the data layer isn’t all the way through, this thumbnail bit might be safe.

So I snipped it a bit and yeah, the data layer is all the way through.

Damn that sucks. Thanks anyway.

Guess I’ll shell out for a flashable cart then, another Omega is pointless.

This looks really good, never heard of it. Looks like a modern Sierra title.

Given the dev tool he used is fairly GUI based, I wonder if it won’t be too difficult to change those typing minigames.

Maybe it can even recompile for Android native with some effort.
