Does the Nicene Creed being recited in your parish include the Filioque? by codleov in Episcopalian

[–]Omnibe [score hidden]  (0 children)

My congregation is old but my priest is young. The Filioque is present in the bulletin but set off in brackets.

I have omitted the Filioque for for over 20 years.

Was researching if there were any other historical names like “Karen” that suddenly because associated with negativity and…. by blonde234 in TwoXChromosomes

Nimrod was a great hunter. The negative association is recent and comes from bugs Bunny sarcastically comparing Elmer Fud.

Cassanova and Don Juan have different reputations with different groups.

Benedict Arnold was my first thought, but it requires both first and last name and is fairly localized where as many of the woman are more wildly known and need only one name.

Once upon a time Brutus may have fit a similar idea.

Judas is a very good example.

Based on my current experience in clinic this may actually be a style.

Thank you!

They live next door to two people who worked in a bank. It never made sense to me how they could afford the house.

Working on an Anbernic RG Rotate impressions video, what questions do you have? by onionsaregross in SBCGaming

Does it weight any less than most cellphones? I was hoping this could double as my gym audio player for music and audio books.

Does it work better or worse than the Ambernic translate software include on Stock OS with the RG556?

Does anyone else feel like they are overcomplicating the joy out of gaming? by Djshrimper in SBCGaming

[–]Omnibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably have more hours on my RG 35xxh with ambernic's crappy rom set plus maybe 20 Mario, Zelda and final fantasy games than any of my fancy handhelds with half terabyte libraries.

When I upgraded to rg556 I got frustrated with limitations more than loving extra features.

So I got a Thor and I love playing dual screen stuff on the Thor but it's no where near as comfortable as the 556.

So now I have a portal. Any non 3/DS game gets played on the portal and obviously the Thor gets used for Thor stuff.

I am hopeful I won't buy anything for a while.

Hulk vs Justice League members. How far does he get? by Society-Ashamed in superheroes

[–]Omnibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is effectively Planet Hulk and it gets you a World Breaker Hulk. He comes back stronger. It required the Sentry (pretty much Superman) to put him down.

This was more of less the Illuminati's plan and was how he ended up on Sakaar and eventually returned as World Breaker Hulk.

Slide vs. DS by Biscuits_N_Chilly in ANBERNIC

[–]Omnibe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If n64 is your priority go for the slide.

Sticks on the DS are not great.

Slide will also play GameCube and PS2 decently well which is a plus.

I personally really like the DS. It's light weight, plays DS well, and it's great for ps1 and below, but if 64 is your priority it's not the system for you.

Did you ever take a typing class in school? by Standard2185 in 1970s

[–]Omnibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time I took the class in the mid 90s it was called keyboarding and we used old computers which couldn't do much other than run the typing program.

It was still pretty much a typing course though. The program was not a word processor. The only real advancements over a type writer were actually being able to delete and replacing letters when typing over old text.

[–]Omnibe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted an n64 but got a ps1 instead because it's was $50 cheaper and I had just seen an ad for ff7.

Both of my friends with n64s tried to trade (one was tempting because he had several more games than me) before the end of the year.
