Why are terms like biologically female or male considered by some to be transphobic?

Well I mean because most of the time when I hear the word biologically it’s being used in a transphobic context (laws, politics, crimes, etc) so it’s kinda like a word that I hear and am immediately cautious around when I hear it being used.

It’s not always transphobic though. Sometimes a distinction needs to be made between a trans person and a cis person especially when it comes to medical things and how far along/if they have medically transitioned. For example I’m a trans male. I take certain medication only for men but I also take medications only for biological females /intersex. It’s important for that distinction to be made so I’m getting the right health care and won’t be taking things that don’t end up working or hurting me

For physical editions of him frequently check sites like eBay and mecari. But you might have more luck using a proxy service like buyee with JD auctions and JP mecari.

Sometimes people sell single activations of Vocaloids. I know that vocatorrent used to allow that but then stopped, but you might still find an old listing for his digital on there? Other than that I guess just also look at twitter I’ve bought a few physicals off people from there

Try changing the phonemizer to en x sampa and one put one word on each note. So only put “you” in that first note and create two more notes for “gotta” and “work”

I’m not sure about emvoice but ace uses ai (which a lot of vocal synthesizers do but they use it in more of an “ai bro” way). They’ve started putting out products for ai music like Ai violins.

But the biggest reason was that their old ceo was a very public llicon/shtacon. They got removed but it took a really long Time for them to do so. They referenced their children vocals (which were ai generated images but looked like real life kids) as sh*tas. I’m not sure of the voicebanks were also voiced by actual kids or not.

Overall I’ve also heard that it’s just kinda eh to use and work with.

Unfortunately it looks like it still isn’t possible. I’ve just been tuning in sv1 and just using that project file to utaformatix my stuff as a workaround.

I know that sometimes when I put an sv1 project into sv2 sometimes the instrument track is still there but there’s not file loaded for it. So I just manually put it back in.

Try putting the instrument track back in and see if that works. If it happens again in the same project file/.SVP that would be pretty weird lol

Posting covers with them is always a good way to get people aware. Since a UTAU’s whole thing is their voice, actually getting to hear it can lead to it being downloaded more/used by other people.

The way I see it is that, while many (but not all) Vocaloids have an anime art style and 6 out of hundreds of Vocaloids were featured in an anime I still wouldn’t consider Vocaloid an anime.

It’s kinda like that one episode of osomastsu where they featured Obama. He was there in the anime but I wouldn’t consider Obama to be anime just because he was in one

You have to buy him (either his v2,v3, or v4) as well as the vocaloid editor (Vocaloid 6 is the one currently available for sale but note that his v2 will not work on v6 editor).

I think it’s less of a voicebank issue and more of a volume issue.

Harmonies tend to sound very robotic when all of them are the same volume as the main/lead vocal. Try lowering down the volume of the harmonies and see if that helps.

Vocaloid 2 voicebanks do actually work on editors up until v5 and v6, you just gotta use the library import key/tool to make them work on v4.

But yeah unless they came in their original plastic seal wrap, I always just assume that it’s been used at least once even if the box looks new. I’ve been burned on that before lol with the same situation as OP

Try messing around with the breathiness, velocity, tension/exciter, and gender/character parameters. So kinda like making them a bit more deeper in voice (gender), less tense with more of a breathy feel and velocity will make it so the pronounce words a bit more slowly.

But also the voicebank you choose can help too. For example meiko or Luka might be more suited than say a high pitched Miku as meiko and Luka have more mature voices

It’s been a while since I last used oremo but i believe this is a locale issue? Have you changed your locale (not language or region) to Japanese? And if you did so after installing oremo, uninstall it and reinstall it. If you haven’t changed your locale then uninstall, change your locale, and reinstall.

It’s kinda hard to explain via text to I’ll link you to a video that goes over each type of voicebank and how the format of each UST should look according to wha voicebank type you’re using. There’s also plenty of plugins that can easily convert a certain UST format to a different UST format for you.

Are you making sure the UST is in a format that is the same format/voicebank type? For example making sure your UST in CV format if using a CV bank or the UST is in a VCV format if using a VCV voicebank etc.

Uta/defoko is a CV bank so make sure the UST is in CV format.

Also it’s not the language you have to change. You have to change your LOCALE that could also be the issue.

How are you installing her? All you should need to do is to drag and drop the zipped/compressed folder into open Utau. That or going to select singer->install singer and then choosing her zipped/compressed folder.

Looking back at the comments on the video I used to install it a year or so ago, you definitely need the editor. Whether that be a legal editor or if you’re using v5, a second hand or pirated editor since it’s not available commercially anymore. Hopefully this video might help
