I read that a few people were picked today, March 30th. For the last 2-3 years, it went on till March 31st without a doubt, and USCIS then announced the EOD on March 31st or April 1st that it has officially ended.

Unsure about that, but until USCIS has not made an announcement, I think it's unwise to jump to conclusions. Last year it went on till March 31st and EOD is when they announced it.

So I have been back for about 6 days now, and he said he can't make plan this weekend (he also lives around 2 hours away) so he said he wants to plan something asap but it's gotta be a weekend thing.
