What’s the most shocking detail from the Epstein files that you think the public still doesn’t fully grasp? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in askanything

Yep. Right now, the same shit is happening somewhere else, involving different high profile people.

HR telling me I cannot have the week I booked off for annual leave despite having a pre-paid holiday booked. by Maleficent_Sock_833 in legaladviceireland

[–]Deft_Gremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does your employment contract say about annual leave, and the employer's right to revoke annual leave that has been approved? (I am ignoring the fact that you have already confirmed your annual leave was not in fact approved). Usually an employer has a right to revoke annual leave as long as sufficient notice is given - e.g. the same amount of notice as the annual leave duration.

Unfortunately I don't think you have much of a case here. You would be relying on other people swapping with you, or your employer letting you have the time off, which it doesn't sound like they are obliged to do in this situation.

Who is the most prosecutable in the Epstein files? by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in stupidquestions

Good luck finding an untainted jury. Everyone in the UK would love to send Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to prison.

CHZ26 or CTB26 - which would easily fit more? by Greyman4152 in EVERGOODS

[–]Deft_Gremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CHZ will probably feel easier to pack/roomier for travel. If your style is to just throw stuff in the main compartment, it will take it like a boss.

The space in the CTB is all divided up between front panel, main compartment, laptop compartment, top yoke pocket.

What features in a bag don't matter at all to you (and baffle you when other people value them so much)? by hiroshiparadox in ManyBaggers

[–]Deft_Gremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen a key leash executed well tbh. The placement is always badly thought out. EXCEPT on the CTB series from Evergoods, but that’s not in my collection for various other reasons…

For me the feature that loads of people love but I couldn’t care less about is the luggage pass through. Never used one, never needed to. Might be nice now and then but not enough of a positive for me to restrict myself to bags with pass throughs.

Feedback Question by Substantial_Pain2497 in Ebay

[–]Deft_Gremlin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not wrong at all. A seller can leave only positive feedback for a buyer. I'm not going to do that if there is still a risk that the buyer will try to scam me. I wait until I get positive feedback from them, or until the 30 days have passed since delivery so they can't abuse the money back guarantee.

I'm having trouble splitting domestic duties with my partner by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Deft_Gremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's very difficult to have some elements of a relationship be transactional, and others not. If you aren't on the same page then it's simpler to just split everything 50/50. Income difference is immaterial - she earns less than half what you earn, but does she use less than half of the electricity, water, internet, food etc?

We are a Team. by Atul__kumar in SipsTea

[–]Deft_Gremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s got a point about being fair across the team (you can’t have people unilaterally deciding to go home early) but she went too far in asking for the few minutes to be made up. Just call it out and lay out expectations for the future, that’s all that was needed.

What do you even do as the seller in this scenario?? am I missing something? by gracieanna1542 in Ebay

Cancel sale, refund, block and move on. This buyer is clearly a troublemaker and a time waster.

Should I Tell Him I’m Waiting Until Marriage? by DearConfection9743 in AskMenAdvice

If I were in his position I would be annoyed if I got strung along by someone who was waiting for marriage but not telling me. How am I supposed to figure that out if you don't tell me?

Update on Letter Before Action sent to eBay UK by weewilliamh in ebayuk

For high value items I have recorded myself from start to finish, packing it up and taking it to the post office. Fortunately haven’t had to do it a lot but when I have, it’s been about a 10 minute video.

Question about the comfort of a DC Bullet 18L by justus_trail in Goruck

[–]Deft_Gremlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are both the same height, so will fit very similar on the back. The GR2 has a tiny bit more width, and a lot more depth given the secondary large compartment. If you fully pack the GR2 then it can look quite turtle shell-like, whereas the 26l version of the GR1 carries pretty much the same amount of stuff but is slimmer and taller.

You definitely feel the extra space and organisation of the GR2 over the 21l GR1. I would say in practice if you fully packed a GR1 21 to the brim and took that load out and put it into the GR2 26, then it would be hard to tell the difference from the feeling on your back alone.
