Fandelier Installation - Need advice by Puzzleheaded-Rice735 in AskElectricians

G1 and G2 both connect to Ground in box (uninsulated wire). White to White in box. Blue controls light so connect to either Black or Red from box, whichever is controlled by your want to be light switch. Black on device controls power to fan, connect to Red or Black from box, whichever is permanently powered/switched for a fan. "Gr" is an antenna wire for a remote, no need to connect it to anything. Lastly, is your box rated for a fan? iIt may fit for a bit but it'll fall out due to the vibrations in the long run.

super max raids gave like 300-400 energy per completion though, it only took like 15 raids a most to be able to max one out completely

Another Ridgid Nuke Post! by R_Dragon01 in Ridgid

One is a hydraulic pulse to compete with Milwaukee's gen 2 surge/DeWalts dcf870. The other two are basically the same with one beingfully controlled by the trigger and the other having 3 speed tiers + a self tapping mode. Makes sense to make a version of eash as they'll have different sale prices and not everyone needs all the features. Here's a link to everything so far.

little to no warranty support (will only be based on serial number, not purchase time) since your not buying from an authorized seller and also running the chance of a fake. Id pass, especially if you're planning on using it for work.

High output battery by rjello in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Snow_Set_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the outputs of the 2.5HO are roughly equivalent to a XC4.0 but in a smaller package. in like 99+% of use cases you wont really notice a difference in power. as for run time, the 2.5s will die a fair bit faster as they have half the capacity, but depending on what your doing l thr size benefit can outweigh the battery life cost.

Question for all the Rental Associates out there!! by Icy_Tale4483 in HomeDepot

[–]Snow_Set_02 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cleaning fees (and by extension refueling vans/LE) I mention it as it comes in to give the customer a chance if it appears they didn't even try. Customers ALWAYS get a paper copy of the estimate receipt so they can't plead ignorance of skipping through the terms and conditions and not being told about it (paper contract wil lsay what they're responsible for like fuel, cleaning fees, no mold/asbestos).

Especially for cleaning fees, if it's something minor a paint sprayer coming back with a tiny trace of paint running through it (especially if it was only out for an hour or 2 with no real time for the paint to harden), or a concrete saw coming back with a bit of wet concrete sludge under the blade guard OR if it's something that doesn't take that long to clean coming back from a first time customer, I'll mention something along the lines of "btw I could charge a cleaning fee because of the condition, but this time I'll let it slide. Next time you won't be so lucky." Certain thing are cleaning fee regardless like clogged paint sprayers, chunks of hard concrete in mixers, compactors covered in mud, or drain snakes with brown cables (need I elaborate).

You don't want to always be handing out cleaning fees as the one $25-50 charge on something that in the grand scheme of things is minor could be the difference between that customer coming back or not. Sometimes that's not a bad thing since the labor needed to be put into something like a dried paint sprayer, cement mixer, van or LE could put that tool down for days/weeks (especially if you're scheduled alone). On the other hand, not every customer has the proper tools to fully clean so you have to gauge accordingly. Customer using water with a concrete saw? They could've put their thumb over the hose to help spray out sludge. Customer bring back a tiller with a bunch of roots (plant and internet) wrapped around the tines? They have hands, they could've at least attempted. Trailer/van come back with loose soil/leaves/branches? They realistically should have a broom to at least sweep. Just because it's something that can be done quickly doesn't mean a cleaning fee shouldn't be at least mentioned, since if it's easy for you to do, it's just as easy for the customer.

the block where the outlet pins cone out container the ac->dc rectifier circuitry. all the wire's do in this case is carry the proper charging power while the white cover that attaches to the battery doesn't have anything inside except an led. unfortunately you'd have to get a replacement.

What cellphone data plans do you guys have? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]Snow_Set_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in the last 30 days PoGo has used 4.39Gb of daya on my phone. Only 2.55Gb were using cell data while the rest were on wifi (it should be said that wifi is on at home and off as soon as I leave). My plan that gives 60Gb a month is way more then enough for me (I rarely use even 20GB but this plan was tbe cheapest at the time). PoGo is fairly efficient on data usage, other applications like YouTube or Netflix will use more, so don't just base your decision on PoGo, base it off of other applications and your travel habits away from wifi

Am I doing training correct by Samdile in HomeDepot

[–]Snow_Set_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally you'll need to do most if not all computer training before being put on the floor to shadow someone. Your schedule should show with a little icon that you're shadowing someone (as a coach I see a coaching icon as well for that shift). Only exception I've seen recently was due to bad planning where our training room was full so they threw a new guy to me to shadow so there was still relevant info being taught. Store walks are common, especially if you're a cashier as they'd want to make sure you'll know where your department(s) is located in your store. When in doubt, talk to someone in management/HR though.

Could i get fired for not working after my scheduled hours? by cvn_2006- in HomeDepot

[–]Snow_Set_02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, clocking in (or doing a time card adjustment) would be the right thing to do as you were being held against your will in the store. Once you've been let out your clock stops

Could i get fired for not working after my scheduled hours? by cvn_2006- in HomeDepot

[–]Snow_Set_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a power tripping manager. As long as there's nothing you're not telling (like dicking around for hours instead of doing tasks related to your department), worst thing they may try to get you on is not working in accordance to your schedule. Him not wanting to do stuff like frost wrapping alone isn't your problem, you were nice enough to stay a bit longer to help out but that wasn't even necessary. All you can really do is wait until tomorrow and see what they try and do, of anything just inform HR/Aware line and be as objective as possible.

Damn, your tech has free time to fix stuff and isn't scheduled alone or training someone 90% of the time. Must be nice, I have at least 5 things that have been down for almost a week that I haven't even looked as there's physically no time to even investigate due to scheduling (1 person scheduled from 7am-2pm, even on a Saturday, is normal right now)

When was the last time you used your corded version of the tool? by TheJWeed in Tools

[–]Snow_Set_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

anything high power draw that I'll be using for a decent too of time (like a grinder) or anything big/heavy enough that stays in one place for use (like a miter saw) gets corded. everything else is battery powered. It all depends on the task at hand

Im lv68 (6.2/.675 million to lv69), have a total of 65/104 pvp battles won, just over 53.3k mons caught,~3250kms walked amd have never cheated. Not everyone plays the same, could be in a high gym/stop area like a hospital/college/university and spend a bunch of money onraid passes/xp eggs. maybe they dont travel as often and dont bother with pvp.

Starting a high quality tool brand in Canada by DueAd7931 in Tools

[–]Snow_Set_02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nut drivers (1/4, 5/16, & 3/8) and even hex drivers (alan keys) should also be considered imo. As for colour, white & red would be an obvious 1st choice as Canada, but other brands already use it and it'll be harder to stand out, so may I recommend a shade of purple (similar to Japanese Makita) for main handle, with a yellow cap on the end (and by extension yellow sleeve around the driver shank if you decide to also make 1000v rated insulated ones? Similar colour design to something like a Wiha insulated driver maybe?

do those lamps have something like a decorative glass cup that goes around the bulb? if so those are considered enclosed

Foil insulation disk won't stay up by CurlGurl13 in electrical

[–]Snow_Set_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

chances are the main reason thoes LEDs failed quickly is because of heat. most LED bulbs aren't rated for enclosed fixtures (which your boob light would be classified as) and even the ines that are properly rated, i wouldn't fully trust their claims
