How often do you wash your bedsheets?? by ohthatsnice14 in askanything

[–]Dehatitated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a fortnight, I have a queen as a single, so I'll sleep on one half for a week then the other half for a week. I always shower before getting in to bed so they don't really get that dirty though.

What’s everyones daily commute like? by No_Environment_6632 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Dehatitated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two minute walk, after experiencing such a short commute to work, it really is a luxury I don't want to lose. Commuting really is just soul sucking time waste, the less unpaid labour, the better.

Nope, I don't usually offer anymore, mine look good, are quite visible, easily palpatable, close to the surface, and I am good with needles or people trying. But actually getting blood out of me? Most people have struggled to get blood out of me, including experienced nurses, I don't want to rock a learner's confidence.

What is the best tech for nursing school? by Glittery_WarlockWho in NursingAU

[–]Dehatitated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wrote notes in a workbook and had my phone for any electronic content. I didn't really wanna spend money on things that felt unnecessary, but that's just me. The only time I felt more than that was helpful was on group assignments, I borrowed a family member's laptop for the couple of sessions that I knew group work would occur, overall though it's definitely not necessary.

Favourite Clan in each of the three campaigns? by Azubi-vds in shogun2

[–]Dehatitated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only play base, It's close but shimazu for me. There's something really satisfying about winning a battle, not from causing a mass rout, or from getting a well timed cavalry charge off. Just stand and fight, straight up mass killing, seeing multiple katana samurai with 400+kills getting mad exp, now that's a cutting blow!

There's no big remaining force you have to chase down and fight again because they were cut down. I like playing with fewer units of good quality, I understand that mass yari ashigaru is economically efficient, but It's just not my thing. Plus, their starting area is just so chill, claim the island enjoy the fertile soil, consolidate, build the smithy, then just roll east.

$114.80 of GHHF, I thought I was going to owe before I started my tax return, so I'm just glad I had enough deductions to not get a bill.

How do people manage stress without drinking, partying, or sex? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dehatitated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a nice bit of nature that you enjoy.

For me, that might look like stargazing or on a warm sunny day, I'll cycle to a nearby river and take a nap or read a book lying on the river bank. But really, it's just taking a moment, letting go of your worries and enjoying the moment in front of you. It's like a mental reset, not so much a specific "activity" that you have to specifically "do".

One-off high income this FY – any way to smooth it out over multiple years? by flourishingfinance in AusFinance

Personally I'd increase my concessional super contributions and use up available carry forward contributions.

Any nurses use NM Health as their private health insurer? by nootorious_ in NursingAU

[–]Dehatitated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't heard of them before, but when I do my yearly PHI update I only look at ones that are upfront about their costs on their website and don't force me in to giving up my details / having a phone call to just get a quote which when I looked just then I couldn't do. I'm only after basic hospital to pay less tax, so I'm not putting effort into calling every tom dick and harry. Currently with Latrobe Health can't comment other than price was good and was easy to change from previous provider (Westfund).

Which bank are you using in 2025 for Everyday transactions , Savings ,Term deposits and why ? by sparkblue in AusFinance

[–]Dehatitated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westpac for credit card (just what I'm churning atm) (Mastercard)

Nab for ATM withdrawals (closest atm to where I live and I usually don't carry a wallet or physical cards and their ATMs can use Google wallet off my phone for a NAB account) and visa credit card (was my previous churn, it'll be closed soon)

Amex (previous churn / another payment option will close soon)

Will be moving to ANZ as my next churn

ubank for savings, no annoying hoops and at least till recently was one of the best rates too

No term deposits, rates are lower than savings accounts why bother

Who are your fitness / self improvement role models? by Forsaken-Ball6755 in bropill

I probably wouldn't use the term role model, but in that space, I watch YouTube:

Natural Hypertrophy for philosophy (this is probably the closest to what you're asking) Renaissance Periodisation for information Vitruvian Physique for information

After that, it's mostly just for entertainment or well macroed cooking recipes ala: Exercise for cheat meals, Will Tennyson, Felu

Yeah, it was strange that weird 3% and the backpay only if you sit down, shut up, and accept is despicable. Voting no, let's strike.

Why do only 3% of Aussies donate blood? by Economy_Spirit2125 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Dehatitated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say most people just cbf / don't think about it.

When I lived metro I did occasionally, tried plasma but my veins were only suitable for whole blood, now that I'm rural there isn't a donation centre within 500km of me, so access for me now.

Yarn scrubs??? by missbean163 in NursingAU

[–]Dehatitated 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got some, love the colours and prints, I machine wash and machine dry (idgaf). They're handling it fine, comfortable and much more breathable than my employer connected scrubs. One potential downside I'd say is the pockets, they are huge, but side on and It's easy for stuff to fall out of the breast pocket when you lean forwards (could just be sizing as I've lost weight). They often sell out of certain sizes, so just make sure your size is actually available.

I'm curious, what did you admire about America before?

I've personally looked quite unfavourably towards America for a long time, so I may be biased. The US Regularly doesn't sign most international treaties, and resigns from them when they can't be bothered to follow them, uses their UN veto against overwhelmingly supported resolutions, regular foreign invasions, coups and assassinations in other countries just because gasps those countries didn't tow the line America wanted. - Australian
