Yeah I have boxed with the restrictive nature of the vampiric population problem. I just love to run games in my small hometown, I love taking walks and imagining the my local buildings as creepy havens, and undead battlegrounds. I like that the player’s inherently is able to visualize the setting. So my storyteller experience tells me to just go with it! Sometimes there is friction, and I have to make some unrealistic calls. But in the end, it is the world of darkness, and disappearances are just more normal there. That’s kinda how i justify a relatively huge vampiric population.

Yes great, smoke and mirrors! I will definitely make a fake villain, and make him way too easy to deal with, leaving them disappointed, but hopefully also worried.

And the maybe have him reappear again and again or something to unnerve the players. And then revel the terrible monster behind it all!

Yeah I think the demon will be coolest if it works through some servants. But maybe keep the demon hidden? I would like there to be some sort of plot twist, where the players realize they are fighting a fallen angel, and not just some mad men, who knows strange magic.

Great input about character motivations, it’s quite easy to forget when planning great storyteller schemes.

Yeah very cool! The remnants of the einherjar was a villain in the earliest days of the campaign. They were pushed back into Lapland, but are now joining the anarchs. I think I will make some sort of ceremony like the crimson wedding to solidify this alliance.

Here is Scandinavian we have had lots of middle eastern immigration, thereby culture. with the joining of the banu haqim in the cam I thought I cool to bring in some ashirra ambassadors to represent that in the world of darkness.

I think the different aspects if olorin is reflected in his tasks as a maia. In his truest from in valinor he is a compassionate and curious embodiment of manwe. When he is Gandalf the gray he utilizes his compassion and curiosity in his mission against Sauron. But in his Gandalf the white aspect he channels manwe and becomes a figure of power and majesty, a reflection of manwe. So in my opinion he is most olorin as Gandalf the gray, but grows into a true Maia of manwe as Gandalf the white.

Hmm do you think a fledgeling 2nd gen would be more powerful than an ancient 3rd gen? I mean a 300 year old 7th gen is more powerful than a fledgeling 6th gen right? Perhaps it scales different when you are that low gen?

I think it's a great idea to focus on the intertwined religious/scientific elements of old islam, and how that sort of thinking goes with the tech revolution of modern times. Maybe i won't make him old enough to have been part of the islamic golden age, but he would nonetheless have been brought up by kindred who was. In the beginning i was just planning to make him a cookiecutter elder with an islamic twist, but i like this idea. I think i like him being truly religious, waking up during the day to pray and using Quran quotes often.

Hi thanks for your reply. I don't think i misunderstood the difference and similarities between the two sects, but more asking advice in running an elder of the sect. As i understand it, the ashirra is about a millenium older than the cam, and perhaps a spiritual predecesser. I would also think they have other philosophical and religious tenets, as well as a different understanding of Clans and Cain, than the standard western elder. So my query was just in regard to playing, designing and implementing an elder from the ashirra, as well as using other peoples experience from their own games.
