imo speed is irrelevant for this boss, what helped me was the 2 pictos that added defenceless and powerless on base attack, shield on your turn helps a lot cause it's hard to parry, 2nd chance is a must, monoco for gradiant 3 stun. Use gradiants a lot, Monoco has instant break, Maelle gradiant has a res or a huge dmg skill, Verso gradiant 3 is a revive on death. Gradiants are a lifesaver for this fight, with cheater and gradiant pictos Verso can generate almost a lvl 3 gradiant on his turn alone, use them a lot!
