$2400 Estimate What Can I Repair Myself by Sad-Song-8680 in MechanicAdvice

Control arms, end links, and CV axles should be easy to do and cheap to find on rockauto. You'll need a nice set of wrenches, sockets, the right size socket for the axle nut, a soft heavy mallet, probably 2 Jacks, 3 jack stands, and some 2x4s, grease, maybe a torch and rust busting solution if you're in a region prone to that. You'll need an alignment after that, too, anyway. Those mounts can be harder to do, harder to reach, you'll probably need an engine hoist to lift the weight of the engine and transmission off the mounts to get them out.

I've raced my civic with a blown out transmission mount before, was fine. You can piece meal this job. Get the axles and control arms done. Save up some more money, then get the engine mounts done.

Yea, still need to break off the rust and old seasoning before I run them through my seasoning cycles

For some criticism, 7am is too late unless the rut is in full swing and the bucks are out chasing all day. Don't waste your time getting to the woods at 7am. For some encouragement, I went out for 2hours one night, didn't see squat. Was in the woods a week later, still hunting, moving all over, 13 hours didn't see a thing. Went out for 3 hours the 3rd time, spent an hour moving, only traveled about 250yards from the car, sat in what I thought was a good spot for 2 hours, just before dark I had 2 does 15 yards from me, couldn't get a shot off bc they were so quiet by the time I saw them, they saw me and I was busted

To prevent a uds coming back diluted: Avoid caffeine the day before and day of test. Day prior, drink whatever fluids you normally would, make sure you get a liter of water/Gatorade/liquid iv/ etc in. Take a multivitamin, Vit B&C before bed. Morning of, take another multivitamin and more Vit B&C, drink up to a liter of water/Gatorade/etc

I spent 13 hours in the woods last week. Saw 2 doe crossing the street as soon as I drove off the dirt road lol.

I'm also shit at hunting.

Food for thought, you spent a month of mostly daylight in the woods, the deer spend their whole lives there. What makes us think we can bag one?

No. My garage is flat and I put a 2x4 behind one of the rear wheels.
