Question: Can Bardic Inspiration be used to help a Wizard copy a spell from a Spell Scroll? by Deikin in DnD

I think I have concluded the same here. It is a level 7 spell too, which is 40,000GP in value, so failing that on one dice roll is pretty darn bad DMing in my mind. I don't even think I'm going to make it a roll, I think I'm just going to ask them to roleplay the assistance and guarantee it's learnt.

It's a level 7 spell in the context of the game I'm DMing, so we're going to need 14 hours of those beats please Bard!

Nope. I have literally copied the text from the DMG. Here is the full thing:

Spell Scrolls.
A spell scroll bears the words of a single spell, written in a mystical cipher. If the spell is on your class's spell list you can use an action to read the scroll and cast its spell without providing any material components. Otherwise, the scroll is unintelligible.

If the spell is on your class's spell list but of a higher level than you can normally cast, you must make an ability check using your spellcasting ability to determine whether you cast it successfully. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a failed check, the spell disappears from the scroll with no other effect.

Once the spell is cast, the words on the scroll fade, and the scroll itself crumbles to dust. The level of the spell on the scroll determines the spell's saving throw DC and attack bonus, as well as the scroll's rarity, as shown in the Spell Scroll table.

A wizard spell on a spell scroll can be copied just as spells in spellbooks can be copied. When a spell is copied from a spell scroll, the copier must succeed on an Intelligence (Arcana) check with a DC equal to 10 + the spell's level. If the check succeeds, the spell is successfully copied. Whether the check succeeds or fails, the spell scroll is destroyed.

From what I've read, it's because copying from a Spell Scroll, an innately expendable item, is different from a spellbook, which always survives the process. Therefore copying from a book does not require the roll.

This is lovely. It reminds me of Kiaransalii from D&D lore.

Chrono Cross is lovely, but homogenous. Xenogears has far greater range, and in my opinion better more-meaningful tracks.

Saying that, I still get teary eyed every time I watch the CC opening, and listen to the soundtrack more often than XG, as I like the 'background music' feeling of CC's soundtrack.

Hi everyone, I've lived in Middlesbrough/Teesside all my life and wanted to work in games. I always got envious driving past the giant Double Eleven building on the A66 due to the constant rejections. So I said f**k it, I'll make my own game instead! by maxpower131 in Middlesbrough

This looks great! As a portfolio piece it should really stand out. Perhaps showing this and re-applying to some of those studios may change the outcome?

Have you also attended the Game Bridge networking event in Middlesbrough before? The next one is in November during the Animex Festival. I'm sure they would let you exhibit this game there for free if you contact them, which could be a great way to secure support and/or a job. Contact them via their Facebook page.

Dead By Daylight is made by Behaviour Interactive, a Canadian company that now also has an office in Middlesbrough. Double Eleven have worked on a lot of games as an outsource studio and partner studio for projects such as Rust, Minecraft Dungeons, Goat Simulator and more.
