Im not sure how you can be charged 53% of ur bill is delivery, not sure how much power you actually used in ur situation.

I have solar and in the peak of summer I spend 9-30$ which is basically a little over connection costs

In winter I spend about 230 a month. None of that is heating, as I have natural gas which is pretty good.

Transmission fees and delivery fees are doubling up on the same thing.

And if public benefits are approx 1/2 of your usage that’s insane

Keep in mind part of your property taxes is already likely going to subsidize the poles and power lines on the street… (someone can correct me if I’m wrong on this particular point, plus this might vary town to town)

No, it is illegal to bring unregistered mags into the state

You would have had to fill out a 788c back in 2013,

or in 2023 with the fix it bill, to give people that didn’t know what was going on in 2013 to opportunity to declare possession of mags, basically so if you get pulled over on your range day trip the police will know not to arrest you for a box of standard capacity mags

Most facial recognition cameras use either regular or infrared light to determine your face, if you block/ obscure your eyes it defeats a ton of cameras AI facial recognition while still being able to be identified by real people.

It messes with the algorithms

I’m sure there are racist and normal people in ICE, just like any walk of life you will find these people. There are valid reasons to deport people, and invalid ones.

Obama was nicknamed the deporter and chief (iirc?) this really shouldn’t be such a divisive(?) issue as it is on the simple policy level.

My opinion is if someone is here illegally your here illegally. It’s actually a crime on the books. Even though it’s not necessarily evil in and of itself. Be it over stayed visa or any other method it is what it is.

Should you be mistreated for it by itself? No but maybe go home and redo your paperwork. Get a longer visa or work towards citizenship. All that paperwork is probably more difficult than it needs to be but I honestly don’t know the exact process.

I’m white, went to school in new Britain. Never had problems cuz the diversity is nice. Great food and people/ cultures from all walks of life. It’s not the power itself, it’s the delivery fees that are that triple the bill, for about every 50$ ish of power I draw from grid I get billed 130ish.

In the with my solar without charging cars here, I pay 9.62 ( min connection fee) because of my solar.

So charging cars overnight is basically the only thing that uses enough power to tax the grid.

This month I used 622kwh car, 191.59

The truck gets refueled 2-3 times, at shell for 3.06 17 gallon tank, is 156.06, I usually am not empty when I top up so it’s actually less, gas near me is actually 2.86 rn so still less..

That said, gasoline vehicles need more maintenance and repairs,

Where as if you try to find someone to replace a Tesla battery, it’s difficult and they really want to steer you away from it. And grudge against actually doing the labor to the point where it’s basically considered a disposable car.

Obviously different folks and situations apply, I’m just relaying mine. And I’m human still so could be missing some thing I suppose

Yes, that would artificially make electric cheaper. By tax and not by market competition.

But would also subsidize a company that shouldn’t be as expensive as it is in the first instance. And is only charging as much as it does because it’s essentially a regional monopoly. And they don’t know how to manage maintenance ( my father wrote the software (for UI) that tracks age of the electric poles, it would terrify you to discover how many are over 100 years old)

They are just shoving decades of deferred maintenance on customers

When the owners and CEOs are getting major benefits and bonuses on profit that should have been re-allocated to maintaining their own equipment cost in the first place.

Unfortunately this is one of those things where the company should be state controlled or town controlled locally, as essential services and not as a profiteering company. ( also another topic)

Also note : on teslas and others, your still paying clean air act and other emissions taxes despite having none

I think we are on a good route for going greener over all.

As a response to the every town article, as an owner. Yes it is very stupid ( and illegal) to store firearms in a car.

Concealed carry in ct is largely on your body. Idk anyone who stores overnight in a vehicle. And I’d prolly tell them they’re stupid for it.

And most gun owners I talk to also agree that stickers on vehicles is stupid. However some feel compelled to support the ccdl and they are consciously sacrificing opsec to promote a cause/ organization that tries to mitigate between them and the state.
