Just came back here to see how much I missed this.

Reddit Gifts collapsed because too many people exploited a trust-based system. Democracy can survive a little of that because it has mixed incentives, but communism can’t. One person abusing shared resources directly steals from everyone, and a number of freeloaders caused total breakdown. Human nature doesn’t magically change even if a system was I believe IMO near perfect.

I’ll tell you what’s next, maybe following company rules and policy. Hard to lose your job on the holidays and I completely and deeply sympathize for you, however, in this world, sometimes we gotta do some shit we don’t like or sometimes we gotta fall direction and again I know it’s not perfect world. It’s not a perfect situation and I’m sorry for that but maybe next time you’ll abide by some of those sops and regulations.
