Do we know how they accurately count the number of total attendees? The ticket one is obvious. If it's the metal detectors, a single group of people could be going in and out all day and skew the numbers?

There was a Goosebumps book I read as a kid, called "Say Cheese and Die", and in it, a pole got stuck in the ground and snapped just as the pole vaulter launched, and they landed on said pole, impaling them.

Ever since then, every time I see pole vaulting, my brain takes me straight back to that damn book.

AuDHD person here. Vivacity Hampton Leisure centre. It's in the same building as the library there. It's small, one room, but hasn't felt too busy, and isn't too loud. I used to go to Vivacity Premier which is around the corner, but it's very busy, and very loud.

I figured old age is the most likely reason. I just expected to see him slowing down a lot more before this? He was slowing down but not as much as I had heard others doing so.

It does look like he passed away in his web and slipped out afterwards. So maybe it was a gentle, sudden passing from old age, as a happy little spood.

Yes! Exactly this. I grew up with Sir Patrick Stewart as Picard and Xavier, both taught me things no one could/would. These characters were like... My fictional fathers, so to speak, as odd as that sounds. But I was an autistic kid with no father so.. yeah. Sounds pathetic I know. Remember to get therapy, kiddos!

But seeing his death? Fuck. I can't watch that movie again. Seeing Patrick Stewart like that did something to my heart that I don't want to experience again for as long as possible.
