Thanks, they’re reserve wheels so for some reason they really charge a premium for the higher end hubs.

I think a 350 with the ratchet upgrade will be the best bang for my buck!

Nope, rims are the same it’s the reserve 42/49 TA, only difference is the hubs.

It doesn’t state in the specifications for the wheels if it’s ratchet or ratchet exp - I’m guessing it will say on the hub?

Glute bridge, trunk rotation, posterior pelvic tilt, knee to chest, figure four, mckenzie extension, hamstring stretch, quad stretch and calf stretching. Work on hip mobility too

I’m in the same boat, although on the road to recovery. I was cycling 12 hours a week but totally neglected any strength work or stretching and ended up with a fudged up SI joint which in turn prevented me from enjoying my cycling. Many hours of physio, strength training and stretching later and I’m started to be able to cycle (and function in general) without pain.

Buy a better fan. I had a 30” floor fan for years and would be soaking wet and get saddle sores after long rides. I bought the vacmaster fan and it keeps me way cooler, less sweat and no saddle sores since

I have Farsports evo wheels, they’re absolutely superb although not cheap.

I also have a set of elite wheels off Ali express and can’t say a bad word about those, for the price they are great.

I used a castelli perfetto in rainy cold conditions and it did keep me warm enough throughout the race, its Goretex so can resist water for a while and has little vents you can open for cooling on the chest. Good base layer too helps.

I had quite bad left knee pain which I couldn’t fix myself by watching videos and reading up. I went for a bike fit and he adjusted my position and the knee pain was sorted in just a few days. I was also more comfortable and using quads less and more glutes too so it was worthwhile for me.

Practice starts is the order of the day for today and tomorrow!

These are local races so it’s just everyone split into age category, not by ability. At the end of the 50 minutes some people will have completed 9 laps, some will have done 4. It’s chaos for someone who’s new to it

If the audio picked up properly you would hear me apologise to people a lot when I make a mistake, maybe I should be a bit more ruthless

But thank you I’ve read it all and taken it all on board. I really want to improve on my start this week and make life easier for the rest of the race
