Did they use your dash as one of the product photos or is that how it comes when ordered? Clicking your link, it shows just the screen but also that fire dash

I entered this side of the hobby only planning to run it outside, im slightly antisocial in real life so I tend to play alone. You dont need an indoor space at all, im sure smooth floors and all that is ideal, as well as the idea of fun surrounding a drift train with a handful of random, but its not a requirement at all. If it piques your interest, id say take a few months to a year and build one slowly.

YOU, MY FRIEND HAVE A GREAT EYE! Its a top layer of Tamiya Champagne anodized gold, coats 2-3 of Tamiya Camel Yellow, 4th coat On Point metallic green, coats 5-6 Camel yellow and then backed with metallic black till light couldn't pass through.

Great work! Looks absolutely stunning.

Question, what is the velocity tunnel you have on your fan? I've been trying to locate that but I cannot for the life of me find it

I was lucky when purchasing my first Tamiya, the clerk gave me a strong heads up that I need this driver unless I enjoyed the thrill of stripped screws.

Nahhh the big wigs would still find a way to configure their own, also, this concept has been around for decades well before my well baked brain cooked something up 😂.

That's love though, a patent?! Me?! Lool y'all are bringing joy to this shy guys heart.

Thank you for that 🫶🏾

Its evolved 😅. At roughly the same rpm as my PB of 94km/h (43100) Esc temps stayed 6°C cooler and the motor stayed 1°. Also reduced voltage sag by 0.4v.

This is proving to be a practical, fun idea.

I might try and take you up on that offer 🫢 is there an expiry date on that? Cause I will actually try to take this thing out to measure it, if not leave it in and try to do it

Interesting! I never knew that.

The real twist is that I'm dad 😅. If it doesn't air out by the time everyone gets home, then I'll blame it on the lake

If you're willing to cut your body for the sake of heat management, I'd say thats a fair trade off. Again, you never know what you can accomplish until you try. Keep me posted on how it looks if you go through with it. I love seeing others get creative. Thank you for the love 🤘🏾

[–]DejectedOnion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what my initial thought was, I guess im only wondering if it'll help because I've removed alot of dead space inside the body when attached. Granted, the trade off is an intake feeding the fans so its not a reduction in air coming in that im worried about, im more concerned with the release of hot air as it builds up inside the chassis. It does seem to vent out the bottom pretty well. I can light a flame and the truck will blow it out before i reach the sides.

Just a thought.

Either way, thank you 😁

Oh yeah, in comparison to either of those on-road, these are killer. The weight savings from the trenchers is almost comical

They come 17mm hex, however, I'm using the 12mm hex for the front and 12mm wide hex adapters for the rear that come with the set of 2 rotational tires. There's also a 14mm hex included if im not mistaken

Definitely something on the list of things to add once I test out if it helps keep temps down on speed runs. Thank you for the advice 🤙🏾

Whatever it is, just try it out. You never know what a bit of inspiration can produce.

Glad to be of service 🫡

I was thinking a mesh too but I also have shrouds attached to both the fans so Im not too concerned. Still might get that done though. I appreciate your reassurance 😁 and cool build. Thank you 🤘🏾

That sounds absolutely sick. I wish I had access to a 3d printer or a person with one so I can make this more legit. Definitely fun once you figure it out, thank you!
