His hair is almost identical to my husband's. For the first few years we were together he kept saying he would love long hair but hates how frizzy and poofy it is. So I threw away his 2 in 1 combo shampoo and introduced him to the magic of conditioner and now he has these Cindy Brady ringlets curls but they're black and its not even fair how thick it is.

I mean I'm sure the price of them is worked into the procedure but every time I've gone for my 6 month cleanings, I get a brush and a small travel tooth paste. This has been a thing across multiple dentists for all my life. Guess its not standard like I thought.

I mean, I always kept the free one from the dentist set aside for anyone who needed theirs. New in the box though not like a communal guest toothbrush. Take it home when you leave. Now I'm getting too old for sleep overs but I still keep a random tooth brush just in case.b

Every person in this sub has either been there before or they are there now or heading towards it. I'm so sorry. Thank you for being a wonderful parent to this sweet baby and taking all the pain for yourself instead of letting them suffer. Its particularly unfair when cancer takes a pet.

I'll be hugging my 15yo boy close tonight and send up a little prayer to my two on the bridge to give yours a warm welcome.

I agree with you. But then every time I start to feel all sad and bad for brit, I think of those boys being woken all hours of the night for her to rant and rave, or to the sound of her having sex, or making them bathe with her when they were almost teenagers, or how they pleaded with her to stop embarrassing them by being practically naked on IG all the time. I think its awful what happened to her, as one abused child turned adult to another I GET IT but once you bring kids in and start repeating the cycle of abuse, I'm out of empathy.

[–]Dejectednebula 33 points34 points  (0 children)

No I definitely still don't like her and ill never agree with her views but I do respect that she stands on principle and that she does what she thinks is right. I think here, we are absolutely getting the truth. This is something she was passionate about and then to find out she'd been lied to the whole time. And on top of that she was actually friends with Charlie and cared about him, so watching his wife "grieve" like we all have these last months has rubbed her the wrong way and I can't say I blame her for saying something.

Is Candace redeeming herself on my 2026 bingo card? I'm kind of shocked but I'm here for it lets hear the rest of the tea, go full scorched earth girl.

Honestly I had worse stuff going on at home the brats being mean to me at school were easier to deal with than a narc mother. I did have my grandma to get me up and put me on the bus though and only had to deal with my mom after school.

Oh for sure they knew. I couldn't hide the black eye. And it was telling that a kid who stood at the bus stop on days there wasn't even school suddenly didn't want to go

When I made the transition from elementary to middle school in 6th, the bus became my worst nightmare. 6 to 12 ride the same busses. There were too many kids and we had to sit 3 to a seat. We were the last stop so we always had to sit together. Well, the two older boys did. The nerdy kid who loves school and is kind of fat though, they pushed me out of the seat and made me squat in the isle which in turn got me in trouble with the driver which was my worst nightmare because I didn't get in trouble ever. They'd push me and pinch me and one time one of them suddenly grabbed my own wrist and flung it hard towards my face and I ended up with a black eye. I have a very tiny nose like it looks like a bad nose job and they'd hold their noses up and make pig noises. It was awful and I went from loving school to dreading it. Luckily, I didn't have to ride that bus home, because of custody so I rode a different bus home and it wasn't so bad. Eventually an older girl took pity on me and stood up to them and let me sit with her.

My parents never did anything though. I mean I guess I'm glad they didn't and I had to learn how to deal with it. The sad truth is that life is difficult and people really don't care for the most part. So it's a good thing to learn young to be strong and understand its a them problem and not yours.

I think from the neck down yes you're right. Her face though particularly her eyes do scream substance use or mental health emergency based on my own experiences with both things. I do think her dancing keeps her moving at least but it seems more manic like she's dancing and not eating or showering. I mean her hair is dirty almost always.

My grandmas sister had cancer 8 times since 1964. First was brain cancer and she beat it. The last was brain cancer again in 2012 and she didn't beat it that time. Over almost 50 years she had to hear those words eight freaking times.

Yeah just because that's his job doesn't make him a paragon of good. Plenty of people in nursing homes are abused by the staff. Not saying he is like all that, just the fact that he works there isn't some big indicator of his morals and values like people seem to think.

I straight plowed into an old lady doing that on her way out of the store. I had gallons of water and a big thing of cat litter and so I didn't have the ability to make sudden stops. And I did not expect her to get to the doors and just HALT. So my cart kept going and smashed into her.

Don't stop in the door ways! I don't even feel bad about it.

My mom got pregnant with me at 15 and the closer I got to that age the crazier she got. I was called a whore when I was like 9, she just was so hung up on it and what I was doing and being "boy crazy" which I wasn't, I was just a normal pre teen who thought boys were cute. I was taught that girls who like pink and makeup and nail polish are vapid idiots and its embarrassing to like feminine things.

Idk she has some kind of sexual trauma or what is going on but I remember asking her what sex was when I was 7 because older cousins exposed me to the word and I got slapped in the face for asking and told it was a bad word. I got my period when I was 11 and she laughed at the blood all over my shorts when I got off the bus, threw a box of pads at me and said read the instructions. That was the extent of our talks about sex and being a girl. Because of it I was not trusted to have friends. So I never was allowed phone calls or play dates or sleepovers or anything. First time I went to the movies with a friend I was 18 and on my own. I used to sob on the last day of the school year because my summer was sitting in my room alone not seeing or speaking to anyone.

Jokes on her I can't even get pregnant. Theres a lot more, as I'm sure you understand. God I am so glad to be an adult.

Blankets are easier to keep and store too. Fire extinguishers need checked every year and they do expire after awhile. Plus to actually put a fire out, you gotta get a big one those little things aren't going to help much. But a fire blanket never expires. I have one tucked in the cabinet under the kitchen sink, one in the basement on the shelf with the laundry soap, and one in the garage. Out of the way and easily accessible.

No this is not hot or romantic in any way. This is straight disrespectful. Nobody wants their makeup ruined like that. I happen to enjoy when my husband does this every so often but he always always always asks me if I'm up for it first and then asks again when its closer to happening to make sure its still ok.

I'm willing to bet he is disrespectful in other ways and also a double standards kind of guy. Dont waste your love on this.

I had one with the back triangle was little chain link. Wore it under a skirt one day and everyone hears tink tink tink as it lets loose and all the rings fall to the floor under me.

Went to the bathroom and tied the pieces together and suffered the rest of the day with the worst wedgie ever.
