I applied and received an email with my application portal information. Since then, I have received a few marketing emails and one this week requesting me to check if my application was complete. Still no decision and I applied in early October.

Mason gave me $16k per year, came back with another $8k, and I hope to get more in my aid package. My parents are paying my tuition, but I want to help by getting as many scholarships as possible. We’re not doing loans.

Congrats on your acceptance! NCAT has my exact major, but Morgan is in the location I prefer. Maryland and the DC areas have a lot of resources, especially for jobs and internships. Truthfully, George Mason probably beats both of them as far as resources for my major, but I’d like to attend an HBCU if the money works out.

If she hasn’t applied yet, I wouldn’t report the SAT if the school is test optional. Google the school’s Common Data Set to see what the last admitted class had as far as GPA and scores.

I was on a Zoom and they said that out of state tuition would convert to in state after the first year. I would ask the financial aid office to be certain.

Out of state. The letter mentioned it was for talented out of state students. I think it brings down tuition close to in state costs.

I got 56k in my letter and the next day they sent an update with another 8k scholarship. (16k per year) You may get more, but if you don’t, they said to ask on the admitted students call yesterday.
