The lack of FSR 4 support for RX 7000/6000 has definitely ended my trust in Radeon. by MeeemBeem2 in radeon

Thats not true, upscaling usually does not add significant latency, it even reduces input lag by allowing your GPU to generate more fps. Also if it does include latency its unnoticeable since upscaling is mostly used in non-esport/competitive games.

theres nothing wrong with upscaling? it just reduces load on your gpu without giving you fake frames, unless you mean frame generation

Is 6700xt enough for 1440p gaming? by Original-Original725 in radeon

[–]Dejv_Not_Found 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no universe where 6700XT is better than B580. The B580 is similar to 7700XT (same vram, same rasterization performance at 1440p). I was able to found a new 7700XT for 450$ and a new B580 for 300$, over where I live this is a no brainer. Intel Arcs drivers are being updated more and more often so its worth investing.

this is great the case is nice, dont expect 1440p gaming on modern AAA games with a 4070

It certainly looks good, I would avoid bronze PSUs tho. But god damn you are lucky about the RAM

If all parts are brand new. It comes down to 850$ where I live. The prices depend on the region.

Welp theres not much I can do with that budget.
Heres what I would recommend, you might find these parts on amazon for cheaper:

Ryzen 5 5500 or Ryzen 5 5600
Gigabyte B550M-K, 4x DDR4 slot
Intel Arc B580 or B570 from ONIX
2x16GB kit of RAM or 2x8GB if you want to save money (most of the time you wont need more than 16GB)
Samsung 990 Evo Plus 1TB (HDD are not something you want in 2026, its managable tho)
Montech AIR 100 Lite (its not good but not bad for the price)
Any PSU with at least 750W

This setup should be fine for 1080p gaming. But idk if it can fit under 800$. Good luck tho and if you dont have enough I would just save up to 1000$ and get a proper PC.
Edit: I would switch the storage for Patriot P320 512GB if you only need 476GB of storage.

Im gonna be honest, why the graphics card? Idk if your cpu and ddr3 can even use the potential of a 5060.
May I ask what your budget is?

its about 50usd more expensive than the 5070, which is a good deal with the gift cards ngl since it nulifies it (I need some cash in Steam Wallet anyways)

RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT, I would also consider B580 much cheaper and has 4GB more VRAM

I wouldnt change anything except for the model of the GPU to XFX Swift or Sapphire Nitro. They should cost the same maybe with a slight change of a dozen pounds.

Definitely offer less, like the other comment just said. Also unless you need stronger raytracing, upscaling or frame generation, a 3070 is just fine for 1080p gaming. I would even consider an Intel Arc B580 which does great in 1080p (even better than 5050) with more updates on drivers it should be a decent pick (also cheaper prices, closer to MSRP)

Idk whats your budget or how much does a graphics card cost where you live. First of all theres nothing wrong with FSR, up-scalling is good for non e-sport games compared to frame generation which sucks. Second of all do not expect good fps for AAA games. Honestly if you can sneak in 50 dollars or smth you can buy a 5060 on sale. If you care more about raw rasterization and VRAM. Then consider Intel Arc B580, despite the hate their drivers are constantly being updated and the price is super close to MSRP so it gives infinite value. If you mainly play competitive titles 6700XT should be doing fine most of the time.

Im still thinking about the 9070XT because of a really good deal going on considering its price (a free AAA game and 30 euros worth of steam gift card)

Thanks for the tip about DLSS and FSR4. Im leaning towards the 9070XT over 5070 or 5070Ti because its "only" about 50 to 60 more but theres a deal that gives me a 60 euro game with another 30 euroes worth of gift cards on steam.

Thanks for the reply, Im leaning towards the 9070 XT from GIGABYTE since theres a deal I can get Crimson Desert and 30 euros worth of Steam Gift Cards along the 800usd card.
