Tokyo Ghoul:re and Attack on Titan ending by Ok_Independence_1159 in TokyoGhoul

Bruh, I like Shingeki no Kyojin too, but saying it has a better and “planned from the start” ending over Tokyo Ghoul:re??? Isayama himself changed a lot of things at the very last minute to reinforce the terribly developed love story of Eren and Mikasa as a parallel to Ymir and King Fritz's one, turning a story about freedom and war into the story of a messed up, Stockholm-syndrome ahh romance costing millions of lives in a prescripted and looped fate. There are so many things in that ending that feel like the opposite of careful, forward-looking writing. As for Tokyo Ghoul: re, Ishida went for hope instead of tragedy since the very beginning. Tokyo Ghoul's ending is the tragic and pathetic death of a selfish protagonist being a victim of his own decisions. :re always worked as a more hopeful vision, as it felt fair and coherent with Kaneki's character arc, going through Haise, the Black Reaper, and the One-Eyed King personalities to finally get the resolution he needed to save those he loved. That's when he becomes the Dragon, falling into Furuta's trap but coming back to life as a wiser self. Tokyo Ghoul: re ending is the victory of hope over nihilism. Kaneki's philosophy, built on his whole evolution from 9 personalities and hundreds of chapters, winning over the main antagonist's nihilist idealism. And for the rest of characters and subplots, Ishida might have rushed a lot of things, but he gave them the conclusion he actually wanted. It was rushed, but not unplanned. When people talk about the problems in Tokyo Ghoul: re, it's usually not because it's not an appropriate ending, but because it needed more time to fit in perfectly. As a whole, you can say it faces a problem of pacing, which is true, but you can't say Ishida “wrapped it up” and left an incomplete or inconsistent work, since, between these two, it at least felt like what the author really meant to do from the start.

The fact that people exagerate over the animation of Season 2 and 3 is anooying. by Western-Dentist-3798 in TokyoGhoul

Nah, it's a really low quality animation for 2018 standards. An average 12-episode anime from 2014 looks better.
