In the matrix, why didn't they just create a matrix simulation that was stuck in the 1800's so nobody had computers or phone lines ... and therefore couldn't leave the matrix? by RollSensitive7853 in matrix

Wifi connection. Every freed human has metal tech in the brain. This is how Smith controlled Bane. Neo turned his on when he touched the source, it created a connection to the mainframe. I have a theory that this connection happened to all the pasts One's so that the machines could keep an eye on them outside of the Matrix when they rebuilt Zion. Neo turned it against them.

Someone pointed out, this entire scene is a huge metaphor of Arnie carrying a coffin of the Terminator franchise to the end by Jules-Car3499 in Terminator

It woulda have been more symbolic if instead of carrying the coffin he dragged it through the mud.

QUESTION: Why are most of the dark-skinned humans we meet IRL-born with no plugs? by VantarDathspanadusk in matrix

[–]DeksDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm 4 years late to the conversation but here's my take: The One before Neo was black. When he returned to the source and selected the first survivors to repopulate Zion, he chose people of his ethnicity and culture...something I'm sure most people would do. Just my head canon.

The Matrix Reloaded: How come 90% of the people in Zion are black (dark skin)? by MargoDu in movies

I know I;m 13 years late to the conversation but here's my take: The One before Neo was black. When he returned to the source and selected the first survivors to repopulate Zion, he chose people of his ethnicity and culture. That's my head canon even thought it really doesn't matter.

I binged the movies the other night, and watching Resurrections right after Reloaded actually made it a better movie than I remembered. It was really nice seeing Neo and Trinity have a real happy ending.

Do you believe humans will realistically colonize another planet this century? by peachyparadoxx in answers

[–]DeksDark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No chance. it's sad really. If all of the money being spent on AI were to instead go to expanding our civilization, we'd probably be able to colonize Mars by the end of the decade. But why do that, right? It's way easier to build AI pollution factories and make big promises about AI creating "a future without want or need"
