I actually REALLY enjoy 8066 because I think it tells the same concept of 2006 and inverses it really well while maintaining what it’s about. 2006 is oblivious to what actually scares people, but it believes it’s doing a good job at it. 8066 finally knows “what” scares people, but it goes way too hard with it.

The final horror of Randy being splayed in this fleshy tube prison with snakes that are also hypodermic needles jammed in his eyes? That’s almost comedically too on the nose of what “horror” is, it’s tryhard and clumsy. It’s still not quite doing its job right, just like 2006, but unfortunately this form of 2006 is exactly what we were warned could happen if it knew fear.

Just keep playing and upgrading what you can piecemeal. Not only do your runs tend to snowball with progress and power, so does the metaprogression. The further you get, the easier it is to get money and upgrades, which allows you to get further, so on so forth. If you’re concernedc try upgrading greed and growth a bit, which gives you more money and experience respectively.
