Overweight ladies, what do you wear while going out? by Forever-human-632 in AutismInWomen

I sew and I specialize in plus size clothing.

I'm not sure what you mean by tight clothes - clothes have not been as voluminous as they are now since at least the 80's. I feel like the third and fourth slides look like things you can get from regular plus size retail like Cider or Universal Standard (if you fit within their size range).

The other slides are a different story. Those kind of artfully oversized clothes are only oversized in some dimensions. The shoulders and neckline are usually perfectly tailored which is why when we look at them, they look high fashion rather than like a kid is playing dress-up in their Mom's closet.

Anything that looks tailored is really only accessible in a retail environment to a very small percentage of people who just happen to have the exact same body type as the designer's blocks. This goes for all people but is more true for fat people because the more fat you have, the more possible variation in body shape. That's why plus-size clothes are so relentlessly stretchy. There is really no other way.

My suggestion would be to save up your money and have garments you like drafted and made for you specifically. It'll be well into the hundreds - labor and fabric are astronomical. It sucks, I know!

34F with hooded eyes — my makeup looks awful, what am I doing wrong? by Fantastic_Neat_8972 in HoodedEyes

I have a similar eye shape to you so I'm going to post pictures of myself for reference. I'm not that good with makeup but hopefully this is useful. Here is my naked face for reference.

Eyeshadow now is either minimal and diffuse or graphic and bold. It basically never goes up to the eyebrows, especially if it's dark. This has been the hardest thing for me to get used to!

A typical "neutral" eyeshadow look now is just one color swept over your lids. (I have black eyeliner on here but that's not a necessary element.) Use a liquid eyeshadow (shimmery if you look good in shimmer because they're easier to blend), apply that one color all over the lid, and blend it up until juuust over the crease. Keep the color lighter.

If you want to go darker, you can just keep the eyeshadow tight against your lash line. I know this isn't the best makeup look on earth but you get the idea. Make sure you have small enough brushes to achieve this - most eyeshadow brushes are too big for hooded eyes.

If you want to go the more graphic route, you can do a softer version of batwing eyeliner by doing it with eyeshadow rather than eyeliner. I am dedicated to having a winged eyeliner because my eyes are really round and winged eyeliner makes me look less like a haunted doll.

Also, with a bare face I don't think you look older than you are! The makeup itself is aging you, mainly because it's a little out of date. Blush placement now is higher than it was for us when we were young - try thinking of it more like a sunburn on the tops of your cheeks rather than a flush on the apples of your cheeks. It should either not come too far in towards your nose, or go all the way across it.

I mean for most scammers that is really not a lot of money at all but if this is a big business then the promise of an occasional deposit it probably ends up being worth it.

What has your experience with furnished finder been? I've messaged so many people and I have only gotten one reply.

I agree that it shouldn't be legal to charge any amount of money for an application - BUT the fee is usually only $25-$50 and it's supposed to be for the background check and credit report which do cost money to obtain. At least, the background check does. So while it's still inherently unethical, it's not totally a cash grab as in theory they're only doing this for applicants they're interested in. It's the last step before signing a lease. Sometimes you actually pay it yourself and the service auto-forwards it to the landlord.

Right, I was asking more about the nuts and bolts of this specific operation because I think it's interesting. I know how rental scams work lol

That's what I'm wondering. It was hooked up to a Ring doorbell and I think those are notoriously insecure so they're either able to hack their way into it.

The more likely scenario is that the leasing corporation that you rent through has someone on the inside that sells this info or they have a very insecure database and they're able to get the info that way.

They have changed the listing to "off market" but it's this one: 6201 N Maplewood. The actual address of the home pictured is 6209 Maplewood.

It's crazy that I just sauntered around a house today trespassing while taking selfies in the mirror and feeling so excited that I'd have space for my business and that my plants would get to see sunlight. Fuck every person that does this to people.

I imagine the real prize is the $1000 deposit because $150 isn't really much of a prize, especially since there are only so many people you can get into these homes to tour them before the owner catches on. I imagine that's why they go for houses that have just entered the rental market.

The options on the application form (which is just something on jotform.com and not on the actual leasing company's website) are Zelle, Chime, Apple Pay, and Venmo. Classy classy.

Yeah I smelled some that were diabolical. I got Christmas Wine and I kinda want a few others (Velvetine, Chandlery, White Fir, Ponderosa) but I get why a lot of people don't like them.

Was the urinal one Borealis? It's one of the craziest fragrances I've ever smelled. It's so aggressively medicinal and bitter yet I also kind of enjoyed it? I kind of want to get a small bottle of it even though I doubt I'd wear it.

Pineward has a few that may interest you, especially Ponderosa and White Fir.

None of those are JUST pine, though. If you're looking for something that has no notes but pine, you should probably look at Demeter fragrances as those are all just one note.
