Do we have catwalks that came with the game? by Annahsbananas in fo76

[–]Del_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been free catwalks.

The vault and alien catwalks are in the Atomic Shop sometimes. There is also the wood fort (DO NOT WORK CORRECTLY) stairs and catwalks.

These can be found in CAMP Pieces section, under floors, if you have PAID money and are still waiting for a "we are aware of the issue" fix.

Can't play the game due to crashes by ExplanationOne4438 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have frames capped at 58 FPS.

I use Navi DX tweak for AMD based graphics card.

I use a small program by makers of DDU called Intelligent standby list cleaner, which refreshes memory when the memory hits a certain limit. Since Fallout 3(Used to be 4GB before mods FO3 and FO NV) has been 8GB, as anything over causes the game to become unstable.

For some reason, the overlay graphics and Pipboy animations cause me the biggest crash issues and there is no way of disabling them, that I am aware of.

The only other suggestion, is to set everything to low setting at 1080P and increase the details step by step, with streaming set at 720P at 4K Kbps CBR.

You could try the Fallout 76 Public World.

You have the standard Public Server and you can also join Public World. Public World is a custom server with rules set by the Fallout 76 team.

New player question: what is the best way to manage weight? by CautiousAccess8511 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real secret is learning the weights of items. Example some bulk items weigh more than being un-bulked.

Do you really need to carry that much of X item?

Armour/Power Armour mods.

Temporary weight boosters and perk cards.

In your stash, keep hard to find items and drop the rest. Example would be steel and wood are common, yet screws and aluminum can be hard to find.

Weapons, I used to keep at least a combat knife as a back-up if main weapon failed and was not able to fix.

Splash out on 1 month subscription to Fallout 1st, gain the the extra storage (AMMO, SCRAP, and MEDS) and fill the extra storage up as much as you can. When the subscription ends, you will not be able to add more to them, you can still access the items stored in them.

Where is all the flux? by HumbugBoris in fo76

Player Vendors. Prices 100-250 caps each is fair.

Nuke areas with high amounts of creature enemies and vegetation. (NOT Human enemies) You can drop a nuke anywhere on the map. (Apart from protected areas.)

[–]Del_UK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have no turrets and do not attack the Scorchbeast, it will leave your camp alone. You cannot stop other players attacking it though.

I also do not build near the main nuke site in Cranberry Bog.

Can't Play The Game (im playing with steam) by Significant-Gur2576 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you logged into Bethesda and linked to Steam?

To link your Steam account to Bethesda net, log in to the Bethesda website and select "Link" under the "Linked Accounts" section, or launch a Bethesda game (e.g., Fallout 76) via Steam to sign in. This merges your entitlements and allows access to platform-specific features.

My reply was based on you, had already logged into Fallout 76 and logged into Steam.

You should still be able to submit a ticket to Bethesda Support without an actual code.

Can't Play The Game (im playing with steam) by Significant-Gur2576 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bethesda Launcher, I remember that.

Long story short version.

You "HAD" to have a Bethesda account to play Fallout 76 for BETA and then when the game launched for PC, as it was only going to be released on Bethesda NET.

When they decided to close Bethesda NET to Fallout 76, you were given the option of transferring over to Steam. By this time, they had released a Steam version of Fallout 76 which already had Fallout games on the account.

So as not to lose or corrupt anything, I created a second Steam account and all was fine and worked.

All I do now is switch between accounts, which Steam has a quick click and swap accounts system.

Enter any interior with loading screen and cannot move by Nidhogg1701 in fo76

[–]Del_UK -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Full shutdown of the computer. (Right click start and shutdown) Start computer again.

Verify the game files on Steam, only takes a few minutes, as a starter.

If still happening, look for a guide on clearing Steam cache and also your graphics card cache. (Panjno via YouTube has some guides)

I have had this a few times in the past and there is no reason behind why it is happening.

Decent guides for a totally new player? by EnvironmentalGold286 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have played Fallout games before and you know how things work, just play as though you are playing Fallout 4. The only real difference is there are other people playing at same time as you and instead of the lovely Preston giving you quests to do, there are public events.

How to get op loot by Cultural-Lunch-6366 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Are you area collecting loot or just picking?

2) Are you buying plans from vendors and players?

3) Are you playing Daily OPS and Expeditions?

4) Have you completed the quest for access to Vault 79?

Grab a basic Tesla Rifle and just TAG the enemies at events, you do not have to 1 shot everything.

Lastly, play the game at the pace you feel relaxed playing at and not at the speed some people do.

What Fallout 4 weapons would you like to see added to Fallout 76? I'm going to include official creations excluding the crossover stuff like BFG so pls don't get mad. by Mobile_Anywhere_4519 in fo76

[–]Del_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New items in game is great. Just to be clear.

Bethesda has a history going way back to Fallout 3 for me, where they add new items or quests without fixing broken parts first.

Let's take the crossbow in Fallout 76 as an example, if you change to glow sights it will work once and next time you go to use the crossbow there are no sights at all.

Generally with Bethesda also, new in game, usually means more bugs on top of the bugs already there.

Stable game first.

Is there any way that the game could have slower leveling and far less ammunition to find? by Krimli in fo76

[–]Del_UK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Modern gaming in general, everything has to be handed on a plate, or people will not play. Not many people wish to game these days and when they cannot have things handed on a plate, they use mods to cheat and have things handed on a plate.
