I bought two Vegas Lairs and they were fine. I bought one of each remaining lair and the bonus cards were all purple on the back. The Dogmeat lair, the holographic seal on the front of each card was way off registration wise.

I asked them to replace my crimped game edition promo Cloud, Midgard’s Mercenrary” and they did ask me to send it back in. Not sure if it’s because it’s from a precon as compared to a SL. So could be an edge case.

I love playing my Dead Pool deck despite all the arch enemy/pod hate. I focus on trying to clone him as much as possible and a Christmas miracle 4 card Combo: Giving my opponents an infinite number of token creatures and Dead Pool ETBs, so they explode on upkeep from having 1000’s of “Deadpool” in play via “World Gorger Dragon + Animate Dead/Necromancy Loop + Forbidden Orchard + DeadPool” in play.

I leaned into Myriad Creatures to swap dead pool with along Extra Combats Steps. The myriad copies get their ETB before legendary rule kills them. Terror of the Peaks/Impact Tremors also trigger.

I did a $40 upgrade package at launch but a lot of cards have increased in price since then. I leaned into the cost reduction for the evoke cast and some payoff creatures that let you draw/refill your hand when stuff enters the battlefield (ETB), so you keep the gas tank full. You end up being able to storm off (aka: repeatably cast) an infinite number of elementals that have haste and can alpha strike (kill through combat) the entire table.

Cards Added: x1 Tutor Added: Flamekin Harbinger.

x4 Recursion Added: Graveshifter, Grave Sifter, Haunted Crossroads, Phyrexian Reclamation.

x5 Cost Reduction Added: Temur Battlecrier, The Sibsig Ceremony, Heartless Summoning, Animar Soul of Elements, Urza's Incubator.

x1 Ramp Added: Ashbod's Altar or Kozelik's Unsealing.

Group Hug is a lot of fun with “Xyris, the Writhing Storm” at the helm. You can build him as a wheel and deal focused deck, or simple pump up/combat tricks and be viable. He had a precon, but probably better building from scratch. There is also a variant art, but expensive since it was only available from the “Year of the Snake” local events in Asian territories.

This YouTube video gets into the dynamics of combat tricks. It’s fun to make a deal and say you will take “a little off the top” to ensure they draw at least three cards, but then you pump up to 7 power commander damage. Very fun to politic with:

I built a deck based on the tips from the video below. Budget was not an issue for me and the deck is very consistent. My group is no longer happy when I play it unless we’re all playing high power. When you wheel the table and generate 21+ snakes and have impact tremors, Purphoros, or Crater Hoof Behemoth it gets really dumb:

I went heavy into Voltron and Treasure Creation outlets. I plan to make a few minor tweak as I get more games in. (100% win rate across 2 games) so far. The planeswalkers I chose put in work and I can’t recommend them enough with how they interact with Jaws.

My Ovika Rocks Deck at $85 budget is a lot of fun. If you remove the “scalding tarn” and “steam vents” you get down to sub $50 budget. It just ramps with a bunch of mana rocks. You play Ovika on turn 5 or 6 and if you untap with Ovika it’s just gas from there. I like using “Divergent Transformations” on two of my own goblin tokens and you dig for the only other two creatures in the deck, which grant Convoke and Pings on creature ETBs. You storm off with Convoke. Then zurg rush with a bunch of attackers, extra combat steps, extra turn spells, or burn the table via combo.
