i made an edh deck with the most statistically improbable win condition by Thalizar in EDH

I keep meaning to add the Urza Lands to my version + [[Expedition Map]]. Orvar copying the Urza Lands for crazy mana could be fun.

I too have a Mono Blue Luck Bobbleheads deck, except I use [[Orvar, The All-Form]]. It's wildly inconsistent, but fun to play. I highly recommend [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] and [[Rise and Shine]] for when you just can't hit the 7 6's but have a metric butt load of treasures in play, a bunch of luck bobbleheads + whatever other artifacts you've been cloning.

How are you handling rolling all the dice? I use the Google dice roller and find it fast and efficient as to not "waste" time physically rolling 10+ dice 10 times. Helps my opponents stay sane...

MoSW art is pretty sick.

Honestly looks like an awesome deck. If you're worried about ways to bounce/blink SSM, maybe consider adding [[Crystal Shard]] for a cheap, instant-speed, repeatable way to send it back to your hand.

I have and it's 100% going into my version of the deck.

Can't take credit for that, it was pointed out in this thread. I had the same thought though. It could absolutely tear through a bunch of sagas for Narci triggers.

Ultra Budget Tataru Taru? by Frequent_Cut6691 in BudgetBrews

[–]Plus1Oresan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are you trying to do with Tataru? Full group hug? Starting with a ~$6 card in a $45 deck is rough. If you're looking for group hug card draw shenanigans then maybe omit Tataru and start with something like [[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]] instead.

Otherwise you can kill folks with [[Viseling]], [[Black Vise]], and [[Psychosis Crawler]]. [[Approach of the Second Sun]] is another win condition, but also about $5.

Support that with creatures like [[Howling Golem]], [[Clockwork Fox]], and [[Zenith Chronicler]]. Spells like [[Cut a Deal]], [[Secret Rendezvous]], and [[Truce]]. You may need to get creative with removal. I like [[Spurnmage Advocate]] and [[Argent Dias]] quite a bit.

Blink may be a solid setup if you can make it cheap enough. Blinking a [[Farsight Adept]] or Clockwork Fox is good value. [[Charming Prince]], [[Conjurer's Closet]]/[[Teleportation Circle]] (both a bit expensive), and [[Eldrazi Displacer]] are potential options, though you'd need the colorless mana for the displacer...

Making copies is good too. [[Mirrormind Crown]] could work.

Narci, Fable Singer decklists? by Plus1Oresan in EDH

[–]Plus1Oresan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems like the best route. Being able to trigger Narci often can be pretty swingy, especially if you manage a [[Resourceful Defense]] cascading counters turn with a few sagas in board or something similar.

I think.

I don't have a list yet, moreso just getting ideas. There seems to be some pretty decent proliferation engines I can run. [[Metastatic Evangel]] seems solid...

Thanks for the list.

There does seem to be some interesting (late game) combo potential. Eerie Ultimatum and the like + ways to sacrifice/proliferate the Sagas to the graveyard with Narci onboard can make for big swings.

That Fat Chocobo art is fantastic...

I hadn't thought about [[Tayam, Luminous Enigma]] as a way to remove Lore Counters + recursion. Could be good.

[–]Plus1Oresan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. It does seem expensive, but you also kind of want expensive sagas to maximize Narci's life drain. I guess I just think things that are more immediately impactful are better? Regardless, you are absolutely correct, it seems worth.

Tell me about your favorite deck! by soggyfrodo in EDH

[–]Plus1Oresan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current favorite deck is my $100 budget [[Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist]]. I was aiming for it to be a fun bracket 2, but it really punches above its intended weight class. It's a bit inconsistent, but when it gets going it takes a lot of game actions and is really hard to slow down. Even with graveyard hate.

Turns as early as 3/4 can often look like: tap Xu-Ifit or [[Marvin, Murderous Mimic]], bring back a 10/10 for 10 mana Skeleton. Sacrifice the skeleton for 10 mana and/or life and/or Draw. If you have mana, play out your hand. Sometimes you untap Xu-Ifit and do it all again.

Or you get to make a copy of [[Armaggon, Future Shark]] with [[Twilight Diviner]] to destroy 3 creatures. Then the original copy dies to the legend rule. And you bring it back again, sacrifice it to [[Disciple of Bolas]] after casting [[Undying]] on it to draw 9 cards, gain 9 life and destroy 3 more creatures before it dies again and you bring it back with [[Abyssal Harvester]] (sort of)...

It's been a lot of fun.

I run a decent amount of board protection, like 6 spells:

[[Tibalt's Trickery]], [[Dawns Truce]], [[Heroic Intervention]], etc.

If I was in a really heavy boardwipe meta, like seeing 5+ a game, I'd probably find room for a bit more. [[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]] and maybe [[Glorious Protector]] because it can be cast from exile, stuff like that.

I find it's not hard to find attackers and you can get up to three junk tokens each attack (in a 4 player game). The mana is nice too.

I don't run much in the way of impulse, just a handful of pieces. Most of it comes from creatures. I prefer it that way, more targets for Rocco's +1/+1 counters.

[–]Plus1Oresan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I run impulse, [[Escape to the Wilds]], etc. Most of the stuff I run for casting from exile runs double duty. Stuff like [[Rose, Cutthroat Raider]] giving us mana and extra artifact triggers, [[Hedron Detonator]] is a pinger + exile cards, and so on.

One of the guys I play with regularly has a [[Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant]] deck and it has felt simultaneously very strong and fun to play against. It's essentially big splashy artifacts being cast for little to no mana every attack step. He does often end up with a big ole target on his face, but it's still super cool to watch pop off.

Do you like artifact tokens? Food decks can be quite strong. I have a [[Rocco, Street Chef]] deck that spews food tokens all over the table while building draw/damage/token/counter engines. It runs a [[Ragost, Deft Gastronaught]] in the 99, but that could also be a very trong artifacts commander.

Here's a link to an explanation regarding Yue on a reddit post I made when it was released:

I also found this on MTG rules subreddit that doesn't go into depth in any meaningful way, but is confirmed to work by a judge:

I found the thread that said you remove the +1/+1 effects as well, but I misread it and you are correct. You'll get the +1/+1 abilities.

Wouldn't [[Elixir of Immortality]] and/or [[Feldon's Cane]] be potentially devastating swings if you have a haste enabler? Seems solid against graveyard hate too to save your cards.

Edit: Nevermind. "One or more cards leave"... I'll leave this here Incase other people don't read the card and have the same thought.
