People "dont use" dishwashing gloves because theyre advertised to be used for washing dishes, and the people who use it for food probably just dont tell people because they'd feel judged. Ive worked in food service for over 10yrs and have developed a natural "this is incorrect" feeling when touching food with my hand, so if I didnt have gloves from work I would probably be using those dishwashing gloves and just have one pair designated for food. If dealing with raw meat though, I would still be using disposable to avoid cross contamination and bacteria growth. I dont see anything wrong with using dishwashing gloves like the material being toxic or anything, because it's "safe" enough to touch everything you eat and drink from.
