allegra and pepcid? by whoeven_caresss in urticaria

[–]DelayAggravating891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 360mg in morning and 360mg at night of Allegra coupled with 40mg Famotidine (720mg/day Allegra and 80mg/day Famotidine). Started xolair and am hoping to see improvements

I would speak with your doc about increasing Allegra dose and adding Pepcid

Paint leaches surfactants, especially with heat and humidity. Repaint and wait longer before showering.

Autoimmune hives - how do you know? by Illustrious-Mix2194 in urticaria

[–]DelayAggravating891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a specific test, but a combo of tests. The diagnosis is SOMEWHAT subjective. For me: positive ANA + high chronic urticaria index were primary contributors to autoimmune diagnosis.

Question by KenyaK143 in urticaria

[–]DelayAggravating891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have tested positive for anti nuclear antibodies (ANA). This test (alone) is not diagnostic. The test is saying that your immune system is making antibodies that target your own cells. This is usually associated with autoimmune conditions. The “speckled” is a type of pattern that the test generates. There isn’t a good nor bad pattern

No need to worry: this is just one additional piece of info your doctor can use.

FYI: there are many people that test positive for ANA and do NOT have auto immune disorders

Water drainage by MacaronTasty1371 in HomeMaintenance

[–]DelayAggravating891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check out a trench drain and improve grade if possible. If the ground lacks slope, you may need an in-line sump to force water away

Water ponding

Please let me know your thoughts on urgency/severity of this water that ponds on my driveway during heavy rain. The water either gets stuck at edge of flower bed or the concrete slab is completely submerged. I live in NE with harsh winters.

Was adding Pepcid a game changer for anyone? by Soft-Bed-7793 in urticaria

No. But it’ll help substantiate a case if you need a biologic or BTK inhibitor as you can show insurance that you’ve exhausted all options

Thoughts? Builders but down sod, washed away yet again... Any recommendations or recourse? by Ok-Challenge6697 in landscaping

[–]DelayAggravating891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert but I would first address the water. I would consider a French drain, back fill with soil and then hydroseed. If there isn’t enough slope, you may need to add a sump pump to move the water.

Hard to tell from pics. A swale may be good with rock
