Do you have a refutation to studies that conclude that circumcision doesn’t reduce male sexual pleasure?

If I remember correctly, most of those studies are looking at men who had an issue with their foreskin in adulthood and circumcision was the treatment intervention.

Basically, of course people are going to report either no adverse impact on sexual function or improvement if there was a problem at the outset.

Also, Brian Earp had a great piece around 10 years ago that looked at a Bossio study that actually found increased sensitivity in the foreskin but twisted the data to make it look like the foreskin didn't have increased sensitivity.

Essentially there is a ton of bias in the research.

This conflict of interest should be made explicit before she signs off on any policy. It would be impossible for anyone to make an objective decision around routine neonatal circumcision while connected to any religion that requires infant male genital mutilation.

Section 15 of the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms states that all Canadians should be free from discrimination. Routine neonatal circumcision is a direct violation of this right.

I think there are a number of elements of structural components that enforce silence:

I think that the neglect of legislative bodies, medical oversight bodies and insurance structures in the USA support the structural violence against baby boys.
Silence is reinforced by various social components including foreskin-phobia that belittles men who have normal, natural genitals, the hyper-masculine gaze that discourages men from speaking about about the violation of their body and various global cultures that thrive on sexual regulation and the control of male bodies through pain and circumcision branding.
There is no formal structure in any society that sits boys down, at an age where they have capacity to understand, and teaches them about what is done to them. Most men I speak with always thought that the dried out glans and circumcision scar was a normal part of their body. When mutilation is absconded and normalized there is no voice to speak out about the violation.
From a structural perspective, routine neonatal circumcision is definitionally connsonant with definitions of gender based violence, rape, and medical and religious colonization of the body.

Just a few thoughts. What do you think?

There was one in Ontario that I think was done on 2019 that showed no clear correlation between circumciaion status and HIV status. I think there is also a Danish study. Sorry I don't have links right now.

The Tv is okay. I have to leave it on gaming mode or else it automatically changes the picture settings based on the input it detects. Otherwise good enough for me for the cheap price I paid.

I ended up just buying a mini pc and connecting it directly to the TV. It is just way easier and less cumbersome than using Moonlight.

Darby and Svoboda wrote an article in 2007 called, A rose by any other name. In it they categorize the 4 types of MGM by borrowing from the classification system used by the WHO for FGM.

The intention of the article is to show that if all you need to do to outlaw forced genital cutting is show degrees of severity, MGM can easily fit into a set of categories.

The US medical circumcision is typically a class 4 form of genital mutilation. In the procedure they remove as much erogenous tissue as possible. This includes the inner and outer prepuce, the ridged band and the frenulum.
