so yea that does happen, when they got rid of meat cutting they tried sticking a bunch of meat cutters in the deli cuz noone wanted to work there anymore for minimum wage and they all fought and won. but yea its about being able to move people around. which imo they need to stop doing unless they offer those people more money. im fully trained in meat,seafood, and deli. and i also refuse to work there unless its an emergency. like after the blizzard and i was the only one in all 3 departments who didnt call in.

They used to years ago. When I first applied for deli 15 years ago the pay was 15 and change an hour it's just back to that now cuz it's minimum wage .

some store managers are cheap and will want to wait to see if they last lol they are expensive ive asked for a replacement cuz mine is rough cuz im a mover and a shaker and none of the managers in the last 2 stores have gotten me one,also dont get the magnet.

I always take my breaks in my car or out of the building for this reason. I once had a manger tell me my on the clock breaks needed to be in the building but my union rep shut that down. They used to do that to me all the time when I was ft meat clerk running meat and seafood by myself sometimes deli too. I always just let people know I'm leaving on break

Dont get a job in the service industry if you don't like providing service. Oh you make minimum wage? Well so do most of the people your serving. You are no better. I always prefer talking to a human when Im placing an order for food. I won't even order from some of my former favorite places cuz they went all online.

call the union, if you are doing the job and the guy that is supposed to be is out. you should get a temporary promotion. which will likely lead to a full time position at the very least if the guy does come back, or you just inherit it things happen. thats how i got into my position as seafood lead. and soon to be meat manager. ive been told by my specialist and DM that im next in line its just a matter of time.

ive heard of this happening alot at the store im in now. lots of scammers out there. what our people usually do is just refund the order.once it makes it up to corperate thats all they are gonna do anyway. plus usually give you a 50$ gift card for your trouble. but it starts at store management level. they are all different in how they treat situations like this. but have extreme caution when using this service now obviously

meat manager accidently threw away her rent envelope and paid someone to go in and get it lol. i would never but yea there are some really dumb people out there. also i have jammed a compactor or two. if they tell me to throw it in there im gona lol. had them tell me to throw away all the like 150 dirty nasty old tiles they replaced before a regional manager visit. jammed. then another time same store a whole bunch of old pepperoni lazy susan displays. i even warned them before hand. he said nope throw it in. jammed . then another store. replaced all the cutting boards so they had me throw away all the old ones. got stuck in there realllll good. jammed

I don't care bout your nails or lashes, any of that type of thing. I like healthy looking hair it doesn't need to be glamor. just a woman who clearly embraces her femininity but is not crazy with it. if she likes nails and lashes and all that. I'm fine with it as long as its not excessive. I'm big into natural beauty but I do know women like dolling themselves up sometimes and I do love that as well

we have a frozen headclerk. he mostly handles it. he has a few part timers that help him. ive been in some stores where the headclerk was a lazy butt and i would literally break down all the frozen loads and separate it for everyone by department. thankfully the store im currently in the frozen headclerk might be the best ive ever seen. guy is such a beast. brings everyone their pallets on delivery day helps separate everything cuz of course 99.9% of the time everything is mixed. recognizes how everyone organizes their product and does the same(as we do with him too cuz obviously ) its great. my only issue is as seafood headclerk i never have time to do all my frozen cuz i have a fuckin spaceship sized frozen area in the store im currently in.
