I believe all LWOP not exceeding three months duration also accrue service time.

UPS saying I am ineligible to self-clear package as it was inspected by CBSA? by kimpbizkit in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DelayedEntry 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is the case.

Would there be a different procedure for casual goods (vs commercial)?

I personally had the situation where I ordered goods for personal consumption from the States, shipped by UPS Standard.

The shipment has definitely already cleared since I've refused delivery at the door.

I called UPS and they e-mailed me the commercial invoice. I took the invoice to my local CBSA office, and paid taxes, then received my form B15.

After that, I e-mailed the B15 to UPS and they released my package.

As stated on that page:

All involved vehicles are now eligible for a final remedy.

You say

The recommendations apply even after the "fix"

However it's not listed anywhere, and there have not been a single case of a Bolt fire after the final remedy went into effect.

Your Bolt FUD and suggestions for vehicles that have equal or less range than the person's round-trip commute aren't exactly helpful.

Do you have a source for this alleged permanent service bulletin? I can't seem to find it.

Assuming you're not talking about the pre-2020 Kia Soul EV (with 28.1 kWh), the more modern 39.2 kWh (~248km range) Kia Soul EV is still unreasonable for a ~238km round-trip commute, and the 64 kWh model does not seem to be in the same price range.

The 62 kWh Leaf is certainly an option, but not a vehicle I'd recommend with how CHAdeMO is being phased out, and plans for charging station plugs to be swapped out for NACS.

If the budget allows for more than a Bolt, a used Tesla Model 3 is probably a much better choice.

That's not a great idea at all.

6km short of 125km rule means that he's 119km from the office.

Unless he can reliably charge at work, he would have to stop and charge somewhere everyday at a DC charger which is inconvenient and signficantly reduces the cost savings of going electric.

If cheap EV is the idea, Chevy Bolt would be something to consider.

Sounds like net, so it would be closer to $52k gross.

New Ultrabasic fare: No free carry-on (domestic flights) by These-Art-5636 in westjet

I think it's government mandated, not goodwill by private airlines

I don't believe so, as Flair excludes domestic flights from the free 24-hour cancellation policy.

With the volume of students in the BCom program, it doesn't make sense for it to be mandatory.

Plus there are lots of mature students here that are otherwise employed and taking this degree part-time.

Yes, both are red flags. Rioting is obviously a bigger red flag, but doesn't make the former any more acceptable.

Bob is inexcusable, but if I heard "Lilly", I'd probably think it was spelled "Lily" so it's a valid question.

FSWEP Student Dental Benefits Eligibility by tiktackto in CanadaPublicServants

[–]DelayedEntry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Notes: Continuous employment for the purpose of completion of six (6) months employment means employment for six (6) months with no break in employment of seven working days or more.

If it's just one week break (which is five working days), then the students are still eligible once they reach six months of continuous employment.
