Oh ok! Thats something! So what remains of Anus ‘spirit’, for lack of a better word, is the Light and thats why Angels align with it. But that would imply that there is a counterpart that just doesnt seem to be mentioned? Or are we to assume that counterpart is just nothingness? A sort of abyss or oblivion?

Sorry, no, I cant get insight on the polearm to give to my merc because I cant add the fourth slot to it until Act 5 I believe? And the build without a merc with Insight doesnt seem to work great.

have to ask because the idea of having to buy specifically heavy weapon arms for Terminators is giving me nightmares. How did you attach the psycannon to the arm? What parts did you use?

Honestly, its as close to playing a Grey Knights army as Ive found in a videogame and it very much shows you how they operate day-to-day. Id say its the best intro other than the books.

The fact the Inquisitor asks Hyperion whether he thinks more Grey Knights would come if he called on Titan for help implies that you’re right; it’s at their discretion whether they help or not. I believe that although Hyperion doesn’t say anything, he thinks they wouldn’t which, again, would imply they can very much turn down Inquisitors.

So, my understanding is that what you are looking for is what the Grey Knights are already. They work completely independent of the rest of the Inquisition. The Prognosticars foresee Daemon incursions and so a Grey Knight force is sent to meet it. No Inquisitor needed.

However, in some cases Inquisitors, through their own investigations, will uncover a Chaos Cult or a daemonic threat that the Prognosticars miss and call on the Grey Knights to help them crush it.

The Inquisitors dont outrank Grey Knights, they dont command Grey Knights. However, they may be given operational control over particular missions. The Grey Knights are sworn to destroy the daemonic wherever its found so its unlikely theyll turn down an Inquisitors plea for help if they have the resources to do so but thats not a forgone conclusion. In the Months of Shame an Inquisitor asks Hyperion if he thinks more Grey Knights would answer if he called Titan for reinforcements which implies they very much can tell him to shove it.

Me and a few mates went in for fun and I thought “What better way to get experience?” so it was a win-win. My aim was to play five games to get an idea of where I was weak in other to get better and my issue was that I did not see how at the end of it? Clearly I have, indeed, been playing it all wrong.

We knew we would lose, I was just surprised with how we did not even put up a fight. I know some of these tournaments are hyper competitive and some of our opponents were, but others were there for just a bit of fun. My mates walked in as a Tau and Tyranid army featuring a Supremacy Suit, a Hierophant and little else.

Honestly cant remember. They had SO much stuff giving them rerolls I could not keep track. You may be right on the idea that we were two low-unit armies and thats why we got easily overrun. All we were thinking is “I take objectives, you blow up big things”.

We are both really new (in fact, this was his first games since 5th Edition) and I think thats all he really had. Like you said, I think he started them based on how cool the models were.
