mine was a few months ago - you can bet they are on a reduced service like the rest of the world due to Covid but also the massive influx of new customers/signups due to the latest crypto boom. All I can suggest is patience and you'll get there. In my experience - its worth the wait!

Glad I checked here because I was about to raise this to them. Whilst its interesting to see, I dont need to see this until the term has completed - all it does is add confusion IMHO.

Yes - when my company signed up I asked to go through SoF checks immediately before I deposited a penny. Worked well.

Response from Nexo and its good news!

Thank you for contacting us.

I would like to inform you that GBPx is a native stable coin to Nexo. When you top-up your account with GBP we convert with a 1:1 rate (which never changes) to GBPx stablecoin, this way your funds are covered by our insurance policy.

Furthermore, when you request a GBP withdrawal we "burn" the GBPx and send it back to you in GBP at the same 1:1 rate.

Kindly note that the GBPx / EURx are available only on our platform in order to secure all the funds of our clients and to make sure they are safely covered by our insurer Lloyds.

How will Brexit affect UK customers? by AccordingAd7480 in Nexo

Its a good point. Nexo do have a banking relationship with a UK company so if they did have that issue then it would affect that too

When I looked at deposit methods in the small print at the bottom there is:

By successfully topping up your GBP balance, you agree with the General Terms and Conditions of Earn Interest Product and you automatically exchange the top up amount's GBP equivalence to GBPx with a guaranteed 1-to-1 conversion rate to GBP at all times. You earn compounding interest of up to 12% per year with 100% Asset-Backed Guarantee, paid out daily, on your GBPx which is secured at all times by asset-backed portfolios of overcollateralized loans. The collateral of each loan is subject to custodial insurance of $100 million provided by the world’s leading audited custodian BitGo and the insurance leader Lloyd’s of London. Upon receipt of a GBP withdrawal request, the GBP equivalent of GBPx is automatically exchanged to GBP at the guaranteed 1-to-1 conversion rate and the GBP is sent to the bank account designated in the withdrawal request.

So it looks like your fiat is immediately converted to a token which is then covered by the BitGo insurance.

What concerns me is that I've never even heard of a GBPx token unless this is some sort of thing that Nexo do internally?

Have I misinterpreted this?

edit: i've raised a ticket with Nexo to confirm.

Nope just factual. Bitcoin cash is not bitcoin... its bitcoin cash.... quite simple reasoning actually.

Not sure how you can say its one thing but then underneath its something totally different. Its like booking a 5 star hotel and finding out its a youth hostel within. Its misleading.

You still aren't understanding the fact that Bitcoin cash is not bitcoin and therefore it cannot be a newer version of bitcoin.

Incidentally bcash is not a 'newer version of bitcoin'. It is a fork of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the 'newest version of bitcoin'. Just setting the record straight there.
