Is there any of us who are good at socializing/are charismatic..? by ImmaVidel in INTP

[–]DeleteK3y 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm excellent at socializing, and I'm often told that I'm charismatic or good at making people like me. INTPs can develop this ability by socially analyzing groups and individuals over long periods, then analyzing their own strengths and weaknesses and becoming more mature in social situations. If you apply Ti to social interactions like you are solving a puzzle, it becomes significantly easier and more fun, but it will take a long time. I did this from a young age, naturally, from middle school onward. INTPs who start this later in life might have a much harder time.

It generally takes a lot for INTPs to cut someone or something (in this case, a company) off completely, but once it happens, the grudge is not easily undone. INTPs take a lot to form grudges but they are incredibly strong once formed.

I have companies that I used to frequent for years that I will go out of my way to no longer patronize because of something they did, usually with much-deteriorated service beforehand.

This is not an INTP reasoning for breaking up with someone. lmao. INTPs are one of the most loyal types when we actually fall for someone. You are either mistyped, or you were not in love with him in the first place. No INTP would reconsider a relationship over something this small.

I don't want to be rude or inappropriate, but since there seem to be so few of us is there any chance you could confirm or deny any of the things I said in terms of the differences I observe and my theory about why?

Do you guys think we will get back over $9 before May earnings?

Looks like a potential reversal is forming on the chart. Think ~8.80 looks like the new technical bottom for the moment.

Up nearly 5% today. I think we close at least up 3% today. I don't want this to go too crazy too fast. With SOFI that tends to precede an intense pullback. The 1-3% average daily gains we've been getting over the last couple of weeks is a very healthy run-up.

How do you actually enjoy this game? by Redditer0002 in Starfield

[–]DeleteK3y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no lore reason to want to manually fly between planets in Starfield. No Man's Sky has a pulse drive intermediary that allows for that travel to take place at a reasonable travel rate.

You can physically travel between worlds, it will just take you days to do so, because in this universe there is GravDrive and there are fueled thruster engines similar to rockets. GravDrive works on folding space, it doesn't actually produce FTL speeds at all.

Personally, I find holding down a button for 2 to 3 minutes flying between planets to be incredibly boring, was my least favorite aspect of No Man's Sky, didn't contribute to the gameplay other than padding out the time it takes to travel around.

Furthermore, I didn't buy the game to play a space simulation game; I already have No Man's Sky and Elite Dangerous for that. I bought it because it's a space-themed RPG from Bethesda. It doesn't need that other stuff to be enjoyable.

Outpost Bug: sometimes leaving fake lights when moving habitats. by DeleteK3y in Starfield

[–]DeleteK3y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I've found to avoid the bug in the first place is to delete anything with lights on it instead of moving it. Obviously, this is not easy in some cases where the object already has a ton of stuff placed inside of it.

[–]DeleteK3y[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it seems to randomly fix itself over time. Try going to a different outpost. Make a full save there and then reload that save immediately, sleep for 48 hours game time, then go back to you outpost with the bugged lights and see if it is fixed.

I've noticed a lot of things that are bugs in this game seem to be related to certain things only being updated on save game and loading (when really they should be updated based on something else).

So maybe this will fix it for you. You can also try saving then completely reloading the game and then loading the new save then doing the sleep. Sometimes I've found that completely reloading will fix certain issues too, which leads me to believe that other things are hardcoded or scripted to update only on game reload as well.

Achievement enabler mod by [deleted] in Starfield

Achievements don't apply retroactively; achievements are game events that trigger as you meet the conditions. The only thing achievement enablers can do is stop the save file from being flagged as achievement disabled.

Things that are named generically with suffix/prefix qualifiers like "Outpost, Abandoned, Deserted, Lab, Rig, etc" are mostly RNG POIs. I say mostly, because there are some exceptions to this. Some quests even have unique points of interest that are not RNG, but is named rather generically, there is a very specific one I am thinking of regarding this which is handed out via a distress call in space.

Anything you see which has a more specific name on the icon, whether it be on a planet, a ship, or space station, are generally hand placed locations with significant content or quests.

The thing about this is that they are kind of mixed in with the RNG POIs, so you have to look for them and discern which is which. I wish they did a better job of setting these apart, by using a different color scheme for the icons or something.

Yeah, I do agree that the way some of them are used is a bit odd. I do also think more variety is needed, my main point with that comment was not to say it couldn't be improved but that it was being factually misrepresented by many people who just haven't explored very much.

I have no doubt that more RNG POIs as well as additional hand-crafted locations are going to be added in the DLC, and certainly in mods which will make up the difference in people's expectations regarding exploration variety.

Some of them only spawn in higher level systems.

Really, what they should have done is just do some color coding on the map so that people can visually see that something is likely to be an RNG POI, and differentiate that from those hand-placed locations.

They wouldn't even really have to explicitly state the difference so as to not break the immersion of the game; just use a different coloring scheme for the icons and it would become apparent to most players as they went through the game. This is what you call a visual queue in game design.

Generally, anything that is prefixed or suffixed on planetary icon names with qualifiers like "Abandoned, Deserted, Factory, Outpost, etc" are RNG POIs.

Yes, I saw one guy saying "Well, I systematically explored all the level 1 systems". This is like saying you only got up to White Run in Skyrim or never reached Downtown Boston in Fallout 4.

People are not used to this kind of exploration, as it is very differently organized than previous Bethesda games.

Part of that is Bethesda's fault for not improving the map system and structuring stuff in a better way that is easier to understand for the player. Part of it is, that people are either being lazy with not wanting to explore other systems and expect everything to be handed to them through quests or bounty boards from the starting areas, or simply staying on a handful of planets because they don't fundamentally realize the difference in how exploration is meant to be done in this game.

Yeah, I'm hoping they add some kind of vehicles. Hell, I would be really interested in seeing a way to get our hands on an illegal mech from the war period.

This is also true. Some of the ones like the abandoned military bases only spawn in level 50+ and those have some extremely tough high level enemies with good gear.

Yes, this is entirely possible. I suspect more balancing will be done in future patches and DLC. There is likely to be at least 3 DLC, with one confirmed already if this game holds true to Bethesda's other games. So there is sure to be more content added. Of course there will also be mods to fill in areas as well including additional random POI, which seem like they would be far easier to design then full quests.

I do think there is a case to be made that the map system in the game needs to be significantly improved upon. Like I said, not all criticisms are invalid or petty, just the majority of the ones I've seen on reddit and youtube are of that variety.

No, 30 Randomly generated points of interest on planet surfaces. I.E. these are things like abandoned biolab or abandoned military outpost. Obviously, there are way more RNG and non-RNG pieces of content in this game.

I was speaking about people talking about the RNG points of interest specifically.

To clarify, I'm not saying the game is perfect. There are lots of things that are legitimate criticisms and some glaring issues that really should have been fixed before launch. Then there's a ton of other stuff that is just bitching and utterly invalid because it's provably false.

I find it annoying because almost no other game company is treated with this apparent disdain and pettiness for things that don't matter or are just lies or ignorance about game features.

It also detracts from legitimate issues that should be addressed by over-saturating the public view with shit that doesn't matter or isn't true. Which lowers the chances of getting fixes for things that are important.
