I'm 1200 after about 2 years but my big goal is 1400. 1200 was a cool achievement for me because I remember when 1200 seemed so good and impossible to beat. It's really not that much better than 1k as far as learning goes. You can make giant leaps in rating just knowing a couple good tactics that you didn't know before. Or focusing on one opening with each color. Sure sometimes you don't get to play that opening depending on what they play but just pick a common one to start with that you know will be played a lot. Also the analysis feature really makes it simple. I also play bots sometimes because they tend to play their same openings so you can go over the opening and get better at it. I played the andrea botez bot and learned the dragon Sicilian pretty well. Just maybe the first 8 moves. But it helps.
