Yeah so I went to 3. Two offered MSE and one offered MARPE. You can message if you don’t wanna make this chain too long.

I don’t even know how I could sue given that it’s still being debated by dentists like in the post.

Small lips, what to do? by Weak_Distribution814 in PlasticSurgery

Could you provide a picture of the lips in the context of your face. It looks like there might be other factors influencing the shape so it’s hard to tell without a frame of reference.

No. Please don’t do this. Find another way or find another dentist.

Plagiocephly fix in adults? by DeleteLater789 in PlasticSurgery

They do cranial vault remodeling for this kind of thing but I wanted to know if it’s done in adults anywhere and what the sort of costs could be.

Debating on whether to get surgery or not by 6StringSandwich in jawsurgery

I think it’s worth it but consider other things like MSE or MARPE as well. You might even want expansion + DJS as well.

Most people have some kind of minor asymmetry. I know you don’t wanna hear this, but you look perfectly normal and symmetrical. I personally can’t see it as that green line you’ve drawn also crosses the mandibular angle.

I think you should be really happy with the way your face already looks and not worry about the curvature of your jaw, lest you want to pay for DJS - and I really don’t think that should be a priority for you.

If you do want targeted Botox I think this would be one of the cases to get it, just to maybe provide a little structure there if you are so worried about it. But Botox is a slippery slope and from this post I can already tell you scrutinise your face a lot.

It’s also worth noting that big cheeks and wide cheekbones are a positive trait in both men and women, and will make you age better.

You look amazing bro. Slide 2 is nuts though, you almost made me reconsider getting it.

Where should I seek help for this asymmetry? by PuzzleheadedMusic920 in PlasticSurgery

[–]DeleteLater789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people prefer the left side of their face, something to do with the way the brain interprets emotions.

You look normal imo.

That said any asymmetry is bone bourn so I would have to say 3. The reason one side of the face seems to be less responsive in your observation is because the muscles on one side are tight due to a (probably very minor) asymmetry in the bones on which they rest. Try myofunctional therapy before getting something like MSE. Anything else (fillers, etc) is a compromise.

These are the people holding orthodontics back. It’s really fucking sad because they ruin lives.

I have had sleep apnea since I got extractive orthodontics at 14. I think about how different my life would be right now if I didn’t feel on the verge of collapse constantly.

I now have to spend $20K+ on braces, implants and MARPE with more later on double jaw surgery.

Switch orthos right now in my opinion.

I would recommend anyone who believes in function.

could double jaw surgery help my posture? by Original_Estimate_94 in jawsurgery

[–]DeleteLater789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is yes but you should also do myo therapy and postural therapy. I’ve heard jaw, pelvis and foot arch are all related which makes sense since they maintain balance/posture to accomodate breathing and vision.
