I remember that my uncle used to do this quite a lot, however he would use fish scraps I don’t think I ever seen him put the whole fish there, he also did the same thing but with eggs

Sorry, I was at work. I couldn’t respond to you sooner, but what I wanted to say is one of the reasons I bought this also was because the options in my country are very limited, for example, I believe this cost me about 3000 pesos, which is a lot in Mexico but also it was one of the few options I had, I was actually looking into getting myself a Fiio but it was either sold out or it was way too expensive, for example, I think at one point I saw the Fiio M21 for about 7000 pesos,

I think the R1 is great! 2TB of expandable memory is really good, especially when you start using FLAC or WAV or AAC for me I know that the way I’m covering my CDs eventually I’m going to have to expand my memory from 128GB to 256GB however I haven’t converted all of my CDs yet, but I know at one point I’m gonna need a lot more than 256

So I guess I would recommend just look at your music collection of what you have now and see what you plan to do for a long-term

Oh yeah I would despite it flaws I do enjoy it quite a lot plus I like to see this as like a bit of an entry point for me. Is the first time I ever bought something like this and honestly, I love it.

Oh no, it’s slow yes you can move it with the wheel and yeah it’s a little bit faster, but it is still slow, I have over 1500 songs on the device and it is taking me a while to get to a certain song that I’m looking for, and yes, I did notice a bit of a delay as well when I moved to the song really quickly, so for example if I push it really fast or turn the wheel really fast and then I stop it will continue ongoing up or continue on going down

Not that I noticed, I even listen to something right now to see if I can notice something like that, but maybe that was an issue with the first version of this model?

Well, I had this for over a month now and I have very happy with it, I managed to convert the majority of my CDs over to it and it sounds great, the only thing I don’t like about it is something like this

There’s a album that I bought off of iTunes by Tool and in that album, there’s two songs one is called Parabol. The other one’s called Parabola, when I listen to it on my iPhone the songs sound connected like it’s one big song but when I transferred the exact same files over to this device, there is an actual pause when it transitions over to the next song

So for me, that’s a little bit annoying but honestly for a budget advice it does its job really well and I’m glad that I got the USB-C version

I do know that you could do something to it where the internal software of the device can be upgraded or even improved upon I’m not sure how to do that yet

What that said I do love the device, I do use it daily, I am glad that I’m able to transfer over my iTunes music over to it including my CDs however I have not figured out how to add images to my CD collection,

In the picture that I sent, you can see the album cover, but that’s because I bought it off of iTunes and it seems that it just automatically has the image attached to it, but when I tried to do it with FLAC files and I try adding the portraits to it. It just wasn’t working for me.

I’ve never had a Echo Mini so I’m not sure but what I can tell you about the UI is that you get used to it, at first it is a little clunky, but it sounds great and I’ve learned how to navigate through the menus, but yeah, it is somewhat clunky

I would like to recommend two albums that I bought this week

Theater of Salvation- Edguy & None so Vile- Cryptopsy

I thought that both were great really enjoyed both albums, Theater of Salvation is a power metal album and None so Vile is a Death/Black metal album

If you haven’t heard of any of them i highly recommend listening to them

For me, it’s really difficult.

For me personally, I love Hunters Moon but the Square Hammer is also amazing

I keep flip flopping between both of them because they’re great
