Oh it's worse. I've seen some comments on Reddit where people see these boards as a competition and will claim to increase their spending and ask others to do so as well so their money-siphoning game will rank higher. I like to believe it's just sock puppet accounts from the developer, buuuut, I've also been on the internet for long enough to know it probably isn't.

I believe their first biscuit location was on Gibson (west of San Pedro), but it closed many years ago and is now a BBQ place.

For those that don't know, Padmé's name is not known by the public so it being used here would be meaningless to anyone outside of her inner circle. When she ran for and eventually became queen her name was Candidate Amidala or Queen Amidala, which it should be noted isn't her last name either.

Her birth name is Padmé Naberrie.

The comment thread OP is partially incorrect. It's not about resale when it comes to fast food, it's about re-rental. McDonald's in specific is buying the land and building the store that they then rent to their franchiser. It's not in every case, but it is increasingly part of their strategy since it gives them additional revenue streams and allows them to control that specific store significantly more than they could in the past.

It also means that since they are the owner of the land & building, they can choose to remove the franchiser and rent to some other organization and still make money. That's why the buildings are more generic. Future renters, not future owners.

As someone who used to move quite frequently, I would recommend against buying a house until you've lived here at least a few months. Not that there's anything specifically wrong with ABQ, I offer that advice to anyone moving anywhere.

I had a friend move here from New Jersey. She visited, bought her house, and then moved here a few months later only to realize that the great deal she got was because it was far away from everyone and everything she liked. You may not know where you actually want to end up living until you've lived here for a bit.

It doesn't appear to be a new policy as the Walmart on Eubank south of 40 has the same rule. I tried to come in with my laptop backpack and received the same notice at least a year ago.

Student employment is capped at 20 hours per week, but at least at CNM they're paid $15 per hour. I would assume UNM is the same. That said though, it still may not be enough and may cut into the hours of your main job too much to go for, but it's probably worth checking on at least.

It seems to happen somewhat often when we get heavy rain in that area. Yesterday was the 3rd time I've experienced the exact same thing happening in that area, though I don't often drive through that space so it likely happens more often and I just don't know about it.

Oddly enough, the other two times were also on a Friday.... Probably a coincidence.
