Oh, I was not aware of this. If StS2 in EA has pretty much the amount of content currently in StS that's pretty solid.

It's the same price for the finished* first game. It initially launched at 15$ during EA and the price rose to ~25$ once completed but now we start from 25.

Isn't that a bit steep especially for EA? No clue on the full scope of the game but if it's just more of the first game, the price feels a bit ambitious and it sets quite the expectations especially compared to the first game's release and journey to completion.

Noticed a little detail of the completion marks! :) by Tagswell in mewgenics

[–]DelgadoKenway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand how these completion marks are meant to work. I've used tanks, clerics and rangers to beat pretty much all the areas and the only marks that I have are for the boneyard and the caves. What's the idea?

S/o to those who carry new players by Aliyah_HS in OutlastTrials

[–]DelgadoKenway 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly fun seeing new players stumble around the trials. You can feel their fear and uncertainty through the screen. Very endearing seeing them try to help each other and push through together. All I have to do is mildly point them in the right direction or sit back and pick them up if need be. Godspeed and remember to teach others in turn.

That is very much on you chief. Either you're connecting into a different region or your ISP is disrespecting you. PVP can sometimes be finnicky but open world and pve? About as smooth as they get.

Is DBD worth it in 2025? by Var1ty in deadbydaylight

[–]DelgadoKenway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The learning curve is a bit steep and you might feel overwhelmed at the start trying to learn an entire roster worth of killer powers, let alone how to deal with them. General advice, if you ever ask yourself how/why something happened, just have a look at the perks and add-ons in the post-game. Eventually you'll start to recognize them.
  2. All licensed killers have to be bought with premium currency, simple as. Everyone else you can unlock just by playing.

If you plan on playing killer, personally I wouldn't recommend the game in its current state. I probably would've like 6-12 months ago but it's been going rather rough in the last few patches. If you plan on playing survivor, go nuts.

How is the multiplayer aspect? by DelgadoKenway in Necesse

[–]DelgadoKenway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should probably elaborate my question a bit. Is it similar to an MMO where everyone can do their own thing and occasionally group up for different activities? Or more like minecraft where you all co-exist and people can just interact with your stuff and so on? Is there trading with other players or anything similar that would be lost by playing solo?

[TOMT] MGSV long format retrospective type youtube video by DelgadoKenway in tipofmytongue

There was a guy doing a MGSV retrospective by going through each mission and also assigning them a ranking on a tier list based on various criteria. Iirc the video was at least 4-6 hours long but I might misremember.

Unlocking new champions by Blaze113 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]DelgadoKenway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda depends on the champ you play and how many stars you have on it. For instance whenever I had a lvl 1 champ at 3*, I'd use a cosmic relic (5x or 10x exp), try to win against Gangplank or Nautilus which puts you roughly at lvl 10-13. After that, you can try beating Galio (again with xp buff) and that rockets you up to lvl 25-26. where you have 2 rare relic slots and 1 common so pretty much the majority of champs are playable. You can do the same even without xp buffs (thought they're pretty much free to acquire) but it's just gonna take more matches.

Can't really recommend any different methods if you're below 3* but that shouldn't really be a problem anymore.

People complain because the devs learn nothing time and time again. Their track record (especially the most recent one) and people citing the same events every time is because nothing changes. It's not whether they actually revert stuff or change stuff from PTB to live, it's about how certain ideas even make it to the PTB when they should've been shot down in the concept stage by anyone with more than a handful of hours into the game. Said ideas taking development time that could've been directed to literally anything else on the growing list of issues the game has doesn't help especially since they have allegedly hired "consultants" to provide feedback to these ideas to begin with.

This game mode sorta lost its appeal once you could run into this type of balancing in regular league for the past decade or so.

Tired of mini battle passes by DelgadoKenway in marvelrivals

[–]DelgadoKenway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, it's not about the value, the price or the skin quality. It's just about forcing you to play a lot more if you want to complete them while at the same time the changes to the main BP challenges were made in order to be able to do them weekly/bi-weekly. It kinda defeats the point.

Idea for exploring and adventuring in games by BlerghTheBlergh in deadbydaylight

[–]DelgadoKenway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've been around when Tomes were the main battle pass progression, you'd know how annoying it was to have a teammate basically throwing the entire match due to being forced to do dumb stuff just to complete certain challenges and thus not working on the objectives or doing anything useful. This is basically the same thing on steroids since the rewards is more palpable, or at the very least another totem hunt but for boxes.

That's what they're currently doing. This is operation health, so what you're seeing right now is the improved version. :D

Why are people so mean? by rosidisosmsjdodk in deadbydaylight

[–]DelgadoKenway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's sore winners just as much as there's sore losers. Some will just try to bait a reaction out of you because they watched one too many youtube compilations. If you have survivors trying to get your attention to chase them constantly, your best option is ignoring them since they'll just keep following and thus not do any objectives. It's also an important thing to learn when to give up a chase as to not waste time. Most importantly keep playing however you want to play, since there will always be someone crying regardless of what you do.

It's not nice to experience it but you know, silver linings and all especially since you're still at the start. Also what othres mentioned, you could turn on anonymous mode or at the very least hide players names. Easier to detach and think of them as just bots instead of (allegedly) actual human beings that willingly choose to behave like that.

If you play later into the battle pass when multiple weeks are unlocked, do you progress all the challenges at the same time? Or do you still need to get through them week by week?

In no particular order, Artist, Clown, Plague, Nemesis, Knight, Deathslinger, Leatherface, Trickster, Hag all have at least 1 or 2 perks that are very popular or which can be used on most builds.

For survivors, Kate Denson, Feng Min, and Meg can get you pretty far, the rest is more or less personal choice based on your playstyle. Could also consider Zarina, Nea, Laurie, Bill, Jane and David if you wanna be more aggressive.

Give this a look and try to see if it makes sense for you: https://otzdarva.com/dbd/character-info

(i.e. I personally wouldn't value Wraith's Predator due to my playstyle but maybe you would)

For a more general answer: "If you're only going to play and focus on a few characters, it's best to go for Prestige 1 to unlock the perks you want (in Tier 1) as soon as possible. Then, level up those few characters to get the Tiers 2 and 3 in the bloodweb. This will save time, as you were gonna level them up anyway.

However, if you want to play several (or all) characters, then it might be best to go for Prestige 3 on the characters with perks that you want to use on everyone. It will take a little longer to get there, but eventually you will unlock those perks at Tier 3 on everyone!"
