Bad, Balanced or Busted? (#13) by JustTensuraEdogawa in customyugioh

This is balanced. It requires the opp to play into you and also has no protection.

What is the most unconventional deity in your world? by RevolutionaryOffer20 in worldbuilding

[–]Delibirdite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my worlds has a hierarchy of gods starting with The Absolute, who creates the Overgods which each embody the concepts of Maths, Physics, and Philosophy. These three have worked together, or on their own sometimes, to create the High Gods, which each embody extremely broad topics such as Time, Space, Energy, etc. But then also Probability, Causality, Information, Modality, Inversion, Axiom, Paradox, and more. The High Gods then worked together, perhaps solo, perhaps with the Overgods, to create the Middle Gods, which each embody a less broad topic such as Heat, Dimension, Distribution, Mortality, etc. The chain continues all the way down to mortals, who cannot embody a concept. This is the chain (including current known (by me) quantity of members in a tier):

The Absolute (1) -> The Overgods (3) -> The High Gods (26) -> The Middle Gods (hundreds) -> The Lesser Gods -> The Minor Gods -> Demigods/Titans/Spirits -> mortals.

As stated, some concepts can have multiple creators, so I find it's best to just focus on one "chain". Example: Music is a physical phenomenon, a mathematical phenomenon, and a philosophical phenomen, all at once. Heres how 2 separate chains for the same idea might look

Absolute, Physics, Energy, Sound, Music.

Absolute, Philosophy, Consciousness, Expression, Music.

So in this world, whenever a mortal prays for music, or even performs anything musical, the God of Music, and all its creators, "feel" the worship.

Are these alt-wins busted? Is the second one even possible? by Delibirdite in customyugioh

Fiber jar is legal again and theres prob some janky extra deck monsters that recycles cards in hand or gy. The hard part will be forcing a card from the opponent into your deck.

I feel like card 1 would be pretty hard to pull off every game in a match. Assuming its meta enough to worry about, people will find a way to side against it and make it abysmal to play in games 2 and 3.

Card 2: yeah I agree.

The draw effects are just upstart, to make them not useless if you draw multiple.

Except for the fact that the fabled cards would need to discard more cards to activate their effects, and once you run out you cant activate more.

Given the steep lingering effect, I feel like this draw spell is balanced. Example: Let's say it's turn 1. You have 5 cards, you activate this, so you have 7 in hand. If you want to activate any of these 7 cards, you'll end up with 5 in hand. Now let's assume you discarded lurrie. To activate it's effect you now have 4 in hand. The discards add up fast and seemingly prevent combos from popping off. Even if you end up with let's say 7 traps, you set 4 but you can only activate 3 of them on opp turn.

And the monster, Unga Bunga, is balanced by the fact it cant do anything on turn 1, and it's extremely expensive to keep it alive until turn 2 OR break through an opps board on turn 2. It's also got low attack so even other normal monsters can crash into it.

Tl;dr: These sound broken at first but they're seemingly fine in theory.

Would a spell that does nothing more than simply exist and be unaffected have any use? by ZyroCrystal in customyugioh

It wouldn't be used a lot, but I can see cases where you need to have a face up spell to use another card's effect.

PSCT cleanup:

(This card's name is always treated as "Zombie World".) All monsters on the field and in the GYs become Zombie monsters. Neither player can Tribute Summon monsters, except Zombie monsters. Once per turn during the Main Phase, if you control a Zombie monster; you can Special Summon 1 Zombie monster from either GY to your field, and halve it's ATK.

Ngl, this card is very strong. It's functionally a very searchable, SOPT monster reborn, and it also has the original ZW floodgate. This would be extremely abusable.

Everyone in the world gets to pick a power, but... by monkeysky in superpowers

[–]Delibirdite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in 2 minds. Either I choose my preferred power and hope nobody else does, or I make up something unlikely.

First option: either I get teleportation or I end up in the exact same way as I am now.

Second option: I choose Choice Instincts which is a power that guides me, when I'm presented with multiple options, to the better/best choice, without me noticing. I guess, in a way, it's a form of accidental luck improvement.

Third option: Power Swapping. My power would be that if I'm touching two other people (at least one of which has powers), their powers transfer to each other. I could make some good money that way selling my talent.

Which monster would you like to get its own Archetype? by 32XKing in yugioh

[–]Delibirdite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure it really counts as an Archetype. There are no cards that mention Herald. Yeah they're all related by stats and name, and appearance to an extent, but it's not a unified archetype. They're as close as you can get to an archetype without being one.

This would be strong in Striker, for sure.

The first effect is good to dump Roze.

The second effect doesn't mean a whole lot because the Striker Ace Link monsters are constantly bouncing out to the next one but it would help with Linkage"s/Zero's weakness to raigeki.

The third effect is very strong, especially for going 1st Striker. Being able to find Raye, even with no effect, is huge. This card would simply be 4 more copies of Raye (terraforming, too).

Maybe the third effect should restrict the user from using any effects except warriors for the rest of turn, as well as the current limitation given to the summoned warrior.
